Double boiler

The boiler works great. The water level in the lower pan should be kept somewhat low or the water will squirt out. Melted chocolate beautifully.

Be very careful when cooking with this pot. The top pot can blow off due to pressure.

I did not fill the bottom pot with enough water and I was trying to make oatmeal in the top pot. I filled the bottom pot 1/2 way. I was cooking Oatmeal in the top pot with 2 cups milk and oatmeal. To much pressure built up in the bottom because there was too much air in the enclosed space, and not enough water. As i was stirring the top pot, it popped off the bottom one up into my face. i received 2nd degree facial burns to my forehead and minor burns to the left eye from the boiling water that was sprayed.

Double Boiler is Great

This is just my second double boiler I've ever purchased. The old one was aluminum and very light. (I only used the double boiler for making 7 Minute Frosting.) I never realized how unstable the old aluminum one was until I got this one. It's wonderful...and the frosting is great, too!

Excellent induction compatible pots and pans

good solid set. bottom pot has thick bottom, top pot does not as its not ment to be put on the burner. nice medium size for custards or chocolate. would buy again.
