Tortise LOVES this!

My Salcata Tortise loves this as she has Romaine lettuce and plump green grapes waiting for her each day and she looks so peaceful and happy inside of this chowing down! Thank you.

Best feeding dish for my Desert Tortoise

I bought this when I got my African Sulcata Desert Tortoise who was 2 weeks old. He's 5 1/2 years old. I KNEW he was going to grow. It's a nice plastic, easy to clean, feeding tray. I use it everyday to give him Romaine Lettuce, Tomatoes, some Fruit and Ice Cubes in the summer (I'm in Arizona). He's a great pet. I paid about $30 5 1/2 years ago; it's still perfect for him. He weighs 50 lbs. NOW! Gulp! Big BOY!

Perfect for food or water

I use for feeding my young tortoises but may also use it as a soaking area for them. It's nice and shallow so they can easily climb in/on, but the raised edge keeps it watertight to hold liquids. Very easy to rinse off.

Very nice for a baby Sulcata

I got this for my baby tortoise. Easy to clean and holds lots of water. No risk of accidental death of flipped over in middle of dish.

Lobby area for crabs

A bit larger than I expected (roughly the size of a sheet of paper). I use this as a common "lobby" area for my hermit crab terrarium. Place food here and watch all the crabs come together to eat and mingle. Easy to remove and wipe off later on. Also serves as an easy bathroom. My crabs love dumping their crap on it which makes it also easy to find and clean.

Very light, very shallow. Maybe not suitable for tortoise

This is a very lightweight plastic dish. My 5 year old Hermann tortoise could push this around his enclosure with ease, will have to see how he gets on, maybe add sturdy rocks around it to prevent movement. But the plastic material will no doubt be much easier to clean that his other reptile bowls. Would be great to see a deeper dish of this size for tortoises to bath in. Doesn't seem to be anything in the market in this way, having to use planter dish currently...

Good item

I bought this to use as a water dish rather than a food dish. Came green rather than the grey rock colour pictured, but I'm not super bothered about that. Seems sturdy, but is thinner in some places than others (you can see in the second picture where the light shines through), however it still feels pretty strong. My only concern is that it isn't flat on the bottom so it wobbles a little when on a flat surface, but this shouldn't be a huge issue as it will be on top of substrate anyway.

just what I have been looking for!

I have no idea what some of the other reviewers mean - this dish is sturdy and there are already black streaks because it is part of the way the dish is made! The sticky stuff the label is attached with is a bit of a nuisance but soon came off with some sticky stuff remover - a hot soapy wash removed traces of the remover so now it is good to go! I have been looking for something like this for ages.

Perfect large bowl.

Perfect, finally a bowl wide enough but shallow enough for my skink, he won't struggle to fit himself in or get out. Lovely a smooth for easy cleaning, and nice and tough so no chipping or sharp edges
