Not bad, though I use it on an internal door

As advertised, with a durable and adjustable flap. Two things I do NOT like: - There is no way to adjust the magnetic closure on the flap. The magnetic bar on the bottom inside of the frame has room to move up and down, so that even with the flap adjusted all the way upward they still connected. For pets that are timid this is not easy to overcome. I resorted to taping down the bottom bar, which is fine for an internal door. - The bolts that hold the two halves of the frame together are plastic. They are holding up okay so far. I'm sure metal replacements would not be hard to get at any hardware store. Other than these two things, I like it. It does the job and it looks decent. Make sure that you have enough space on the door for it to sit flush though, as I had a door with some cutouts on it and it looks rather weird sitting over those.

Works great, I've installed 2

OK this door is great, and my dogs had no issue learning to use it, they just needed a couple treats to motivate them. Once they get it, they get it for life. Now I installed the 1st on my screen porch by removing one picket, and cut it in half to use as the horizontal cross pieces. It was very easy and I didn't bend the template. On the second I was installing through my wall, Not a door, if your installing through a door DO NOT use the template either. Instead to cutvthe opening measure the flap and add 1/4" to each side. The extra 1/4" allows the flap to swing freely in the opening. Having a small opening allows you to screw the frame directly to interior and exterior walls, because the nylon screws are not long enough togo through a wall. This will make the install much faster and cleaner.

Plastic Screws/bolts really!

This is a great product and works great but the Plastic screw / bolt is ridiculous! Yes it is so easy to cut the plastic that extends once the door is installed. But really I just cut a metal door you don't think that I could cut a small bolt as well. Why did they not just send some 3.5" long 8-32 bolts and nuts. My door is 1-3/4" thick the plastic screws / bolts bend and deflect causing problems getting them to line up through the holes. Metal 8-32 bolts don't do this and make installation so much faster and way less frustrating. Buy your own 8-32 bolts before you install!!

I mean...

Let me just start by saying that in the end, it all worked out and everything is fine. But.... Long story short, it took me forever to figure out how to cut the hole in my metal door. The plastic covers that are supposed to be the inner frame did not slide in so I had to buy black duct tape. Lastly the door cover is way too hard to put on/take off. It should be a slide on/off. Most of my grief was caused from user error, so you really need to know what you're doing or else you will spend literally an entire day. So I didn't subtract any stars for my own mistakes, but I did subtract for The plastic frame and the door cover not fitting.

Works perfectly for our rowdy dogs

Super easy to install. The inside liner sheets are pretty much useless, but I just filled the bottom gap with foam to prevent the dogs from twisting a foot, but it works great. The magnet is strong enough to keep it from flapping in all but the strongest wind gusts. Great product all around.

Use your own measurements

Easy to install, easy to use. Do yourself a favor and don't follow the template. It takes a bit longer but get your own measurements, it seems like the design was updated but the papers were not. Otherwise the magnetic clasp is snappy and makes a distinct sound to let you know when your friends are on the move.

Good dog door

We had one of these in another house and worked well then and product works well now. Closes tight and stays pretty secure even with wind blowing on it. Would purchase again.

Just replaced the old one after 12 years with lots of use from a very active dog

I actually put ours through the outside wall and had to modify it to make sure it was water tight, but the product for it's intended use is durable and looks nice. I would highly recommend and will be buying another one when this one finally wears out.

A little tricky to install, “sandwiching” the inner and outer door frame so they click on to the black door lining pieces was a pain in the butt. The template is larger than the hole that is needed but it gives you some wiggle room to make it level. The adjustable plastic flap was great for training the cats as you can secure the flap slightly higher to make it easier to push open (it is farther away from the magnet). We used wet food and held the door open to get them to go through first, then rubbed cat nip all over the plastic flap so they would rub up against it and accidentally push it open. They use it all the time now no problem. Small size was good for average adult house cat. If you have a chonk maybe go medium. A multi tool, grinder, or circular saw would work to cut the door hole. Sawzall if you can get a pilot hole big enough.

Works well as a standard cat door

Works well, especially as an indoor cat door. I am using it as a door to the catio, outside, during a Canadian winter. It's working well, but it doesn't click back into place as the cats come and go. I have to go tap it back in after they come/go. This means there is a lot of draft coming through. To be fair, if it was a stronger magnet, the cats might not think they could push through it, as I had to teach my cats to push harder just to get through this door. So I'm not sure how it could be improved on this. Even while the door is closed, some draft comes through. This as well, would be difficult to engineer out since the cats need to easily push through to come inside. I lined the cat door with insulation to minimize draft coming through. I suggest you do the same. All in all, it's a good door. I wish the cover plate, at the very least, was insulated, so when you cover it, the cold stays out. This is a good product, I would buy again, depending on use.

Funciona a la perfección

Trate de conseguir a alguien que viniera a instalarla. Cómo no tuve suerte me anime a hacerlo yo con las herramientas que tenía a la mano. Solo un taladro y unas pinzas para cortar. La puerta la instalé en una puerta de aluminio que da de la cocina al patio. Quedó perfecta. La perrita se acostumbro en un día a usarla. Sin duda, una muy buena compra (compré la versión de plástico y la verdad si es resistente).

Cumple con el propósito pero es de baja calidad

Anteriormente compre una talla grande con la cual quede fascinado, sin embargo quedaba algo justa para mis perros motivo por el cual decidí comprar la extra grande. Para mi sorpresa esta no era idéntica a la anterior (Mi error) y es ahí donde tuve un punto de comparación el cual les expreso a continuación: Me parece algo complicado instalarla, yo mismo la puse y dejando a un lado el recorte que se tiene que hacer en la puerta, esta tiene la tapa frontal y posterior del hueco de la puerta y para cubrir la parte interior del marco vienen 4 plásticos que es necesario cortarlas al grosor de la puerta y fijarla en unas pequeñas cejas que trae cada tapa, enseguida de esto trae unas tuercas y unos tornillos los cuales son de plástico y para poder hacer coincidir los agujeros de las tapas puedes tardarte un poco más de lo pensado, al final la instale y dejo video de como quedo, se ve bastante bien aunque no se cuanto tiempo me vaya durar, el imán que trae también es de menos calidad que la anterior que tenia y por último la tapa que tiene para prohibir el paso de tu mascota es un vil plástico delgado que tiene unas pequeñas cejas para agarrarse y que con un simple empujón con una pata de tu perro se cae. No la recomiendo para nada, mejor hagan un poco más de ahorro y junten para comprar la que es de mejor calidad aunque cueste más. El día de hoy hago otro video más descriptivo de las piezas para mostrarles la calidad, saludos.
