It works and is pretty quiet
The only thing is that it has two outlets. I could not find one for my size of tank that had only one outlet. Not a big deal. Seems like the air flow adjustment doesn't really give you much variation. Again, not a big deal. Hopefully this one will last longer than my last pump.

Quiet but still some hum.
I have had aquariums for over 20 years. I have not used all of the pumps available but the Million Air is the quietest I have found of the current models available. I bought it because of the reviews I had read that said it was very quite. One of the best pumps was one called the Silent Giant which is no longer available. Next I found a real quite pump called the Supra -- It too is gone. They were both quieter than the Million Air. The Million Air is good but still hums a bit too loud. The Million air is a little quieter than the other recent ones I have used. Maybe someday someone will make one as quiet as those I used to be able to get. I reccomend the million air as quietest I could find. I just got it, so I cannot attest to its durability. I have it on my protein skimmer and it is working great.

decent pump
relatively quiet, has been in operation for 3+years, seems well built also to note that the variable output option should equate to lower power consumption when turned down originally one of the outputs put out very little air, i took the pump apart to find that a valve inside the pump mechanism was torn, replaced with a piece of rubber from a thin suction cup got it pumping OK, was later replaced with valve rubber from a different pump and now both outputs are the same i actually expected more air volume based on other reviews but still is sufficient

OK pump but there are better for more dollars
After 2 years the adjustment knob does not function. I opened the pump and got it to stay at the middle setting. It has been working for another year. For a total of 3 years it is okay but getting weaker. Now compare that to my first pump, the Tetra Whisper AP 150, which is working after 9 years and still strong. That pump makes an 8 inch air stone at 25 inches deep bubble the entire fish tank. Forget the pet-co pumps, they last 1 to 2 years. It all depends on your budget and if you want something that lasts a long time. This one will last a couple years but forget about adjusting the air flow because that won't work after a while.

Good but has flaws, may be defective
Using it in my 60 Gallon tank for a small air stone and a short bubble wall. The pump is quiet enough, not much of a difference from the Top Fin 80 Gallon one I was using (though this one was about $8 less) the main issue I have is that the knob rattles like something awful if it isn't cranked all the way down or up, Since I normally have it turned up, it's not a big deal, the major issue is that i can turn the knob completely in either direction and get absolutely no change in air flow, it is at full blast constantly. A knob to regulate air flow should regulate air flow. Also on a less important note, I tried to couple an additional small air stone on one outlet and it would not power both.

OMG i just love this Air pump.I was currently using a 5 gallon air pump from a tank kit but later upgraded to a 55gal.If you need Air This gives the Air...Like seriously...This is amazing.. I would Highly Suggest this Over any other pump Very high quality ...Its cheap but You get High Quality FOR REAL.If i can buy more of this Air pump I WOULD BUY lots...Overall, I love this pump Very High quality..I used this for a 55 gal..Works great for 2 sponge filters. Update: I purchased this item on Sept 17 2015 and its still running good for me today !!! I've never had a problem with this air pump. I've been seeing some bad reviews about it lately which is too bad.

Pretty good
UPDATE, one year in and still super powerful. See new pic of it from Dec 21st 2017 So far so good, very powerful, can easily power 3 or for air bubblers/stones in a 75 gallon even with the pump on the floor. See attached pic of the bubbles produced from a large disk air stone. This thing can easily power 3 or 4 air devices/stones etc. The flow control does vibrate in the middle though, but not when in fully dialed in or out. I generally leave it on the lowest as it's still plenty powerful enough.
