When you one...

I have three of these. One on a range bag. One an a messenger bag used as an overnighter, one on a rifle sling. Made a world of difference when carrying any of them.

Don't laugh

I use this on my one point and 2 point slings, that's right, don't laugh!!! It makes a world of difference!!!! You carry a AR15 or AR10 around all day,you will find out quickly it's worth it's weight in gold !!! I also have one on both my Diamond D chest holsters,for my Glock 20 and extra mag.And my Super Red hawk makes a world of difference on those too!!!! Needless to say I think I have purchased 5 so far. The Velcro makes it adjust to any sling or strap,and just the right amount of padding. And Boy howdy am I glad I found out about them,I'm a 250lb sissy , these make you appear Manly since I'm not whingeing every 5 minutes about how heavy these guns are,I appear tough and fearsome to all those other crybaby's !!!! They work well, try one you will like it.I use the 2 inch on diamond D and,1.5 on one points.They make a world of difference !

Met my expectations for the price.

I used it to pad an expensive two-point sling used for a moderately heavy rifle (about 10 lbs.) so I could comfortably carry without a jacket or thick shirt, and it works very well. The Velcro is of good quality for securing the straps and the padding is effective without being too thick. The width allowed me to slip the bungie part of the sling through it without difficulty. Stitching looks OK too. It's not combat quality, but also not priced like it. It's great for the price point and intended use, so I give it a 5. If you need this sort of pad for a shoulder strap or something like that, it would work well.

Excellent! Well-Made, Reasonably-Priced.

Really well made. But isn't that what we've come to expect from Maxpedition? Definitely "foliage green"; very close to the Army ACU color. Would have preferred OD Green or "Ranger Green," but that's okay; it still looks great. Very nicely cushioned, too. Very reasonable price, as well (something Maxpedition isn't always known for!). In the end, an enthusiastic... 5 stars.

Great Shoulder Pad

I am a person with vision impairment. I usually have a big, heavy shoulder bag on me because I have to carry magnifiers, different tools that help me make use of my remaining version, a white cane, along with the usual stuff like a wallet, water bottle, etc... This makes my big shoulder bag somewhat heavy. It used to be the shoulder bag would make my shoulders hurt quite a bit after a while but after I used this shoulder pad it has been a lot more comfortable. I also know Maxpedition makes high quality stuff which is why I got this. Highly recommend.

Quality, quality, quality!

It's Maxpedition quality so you can't go wrong with it. It was perfect to replace an older shoulder pad I had. It's a standard size so it will fit most straps in the market.

Effective once you get used to it.

I found that the edge of the quality, hefty strap on my maxped. Remora rubbed uncomfortably on my neck ( not a problem I had when trying out the Remora style of bag with a far eastern cheap copy one !) so I purchased one of these from the always excellent 'Military First'. That was a year ago, and the pad has had a good trial since which it has survived well. The extra width of the pad beyond the strap edge is soft , so it solved my discomfort problem, and the padding , although light, does add to the comfort of carry significantly. I find that the non-slip underside works with a wide range of shirts and jackets , even slick slidey waterproofs . It took a little while to become accustomed to the pad staying still while the strap slid through it, but it turns out to be a very handy feature , particularly on a single strap cross body bag like the remora which can be swung round to sit in the small of the back when walking then moved to your side to get to the contents. If I had a complaint about this item it would only be that it should come with the bag rather than as an add on .
