Great Machine Horrible Customer Service

This machine works well and does produce a decent amount of ice. The only and biggest problem is the ice basket. The plastic handles are thin and cheaply made. I had an issue with the handles cracking and breaking off which is a real issue as this is the only way to get the ice out once it's made. Contacted customer service at 11 months as this machine has a 1 yr warranty. They wanted to charge me $38.00 for a new basket saying the warranty had to be filed in 30 days after receiving the machine. So, there 1 yr warranty doesn't mean crap and they wanted me to pay for a new basket for the one not holding up. So, buyers beware I would not buy this machine again and warn other to please look at other brands. Hopefully others will read this and stay away as the same thing will happen to them and they will not stand behind their so-called warranty. I rarely post a bad review, but this is deserving and hoping to avoid others from this major flaw and mfg bogus warranty.

Love that there are 3 different size nuggets. Wish there had been a smaller size but for the value it’s a great machine.

Sooo Happy

I am addicted to ice! There, I've admitted it. Also, I won't drink water if it tastes. Chlorine or anything else, to me, is horrible. So I drink distilled water. Also, we need distilled water for our CPAP machines and my husband's nose. So my ice machine only gets distilled water. Needless to say, the ice machine is MINE! I initially bought a small one. It made great ice, but we kept running out. So we got this Frigidaire. It is awesome! Not only does it make ice enough for me, my husband, and my son, but it just keeps on and on. I like the smaller pieces. But honestly, it doesn't matter. You can set it to small, medium, or large. It doesn't get larger, just thicker. We are very happy with it. It is fast, and it runs all the time. Stops when it is full, but otherwise, it is making ice. We highly recommend it over several other brands we have had.

Great little ice maker

This little thing spits out the ice!! I definitely wish it had a cooling mechanism to keep the ice frozen, but I read enough reviews that I didn’t expect it and my research seemed to show that the cooled ice makers were averaging 350.00< so to get this one that had great reviews for almost half price was enough bang for my buck to be content without a refrigerated basket. The ice doesn’t seem to last long in my cup, not as long as I would like, but I think I will get a smaller cup so that it doesn’t get as watered down before I drink it down. Overall I am 110% satisfied with this product and my overly critical husband say’s this is the best purchase we have made of late. I’m thankful that I won’t be spending 2.00 daily on bagged ice anymore.

Frigidaire EFIC115

I have three of these units. I use them to bag ice for my fish cooler when fishing. This cuts down on the costs of buying ice daily. I am fully satisfied with these units' performance. The downside is the packaging. They are poorly boxed and two of them came damaged. I kept them because they still worked and I did not want the hassle of returning them, but the manufacturer does need to do a better job of protecting the product for shipping. Yes I would buy again.

Nice ice maker but had a leak

Wasn’t sure how to rate ice maker. It worked well at making ice. Large capacity, good size, quick ice, etc. But water leaked from bottom of machine as it made ice making it worthless. Getting replacement sent. We’ll see how second one performs. It is very large and takes lots of space on counter but I would probably give it 5 stars if no leak. The box was beat up on delivery so it may have broken during transit. Edit 2/5/23 Received new ice maker with no leaks after 30 days. Return/replacement process simple and painless. Changed original rating of 1 star to 5.

Now THIS is an ice maker

I have gone through a couple of counter top ice makers over the last couple years. This is the first one that has been able to keep up with my family. This thing makes SO much ice and has such a deep reservoir. I love this thing.

Bad warranty

This died after 1.5 months. Have to send back at my own expense to be covered under warranty. That’s crazy. Didn’t keep box, after was working for 3 weeks. Now would have to find a box and pay to send back. First appliance I’ve ever purchased where purchaser responsible for paying return under warranty. It’s pretty heavy so will be costly to send back. I would recommend NOT buying due to warranty

Poor customer service

Purchased this ice maker late March to use at our lake lot. Used it first time May long weekend and it leaked. Amazon wouldn’t do anything and referred us to Frigidaire’s customer service. Their response was to ship the item to them at our expense ($250.92) and they would send us a new one. The ice maker price we paid was $271.14. So we might as well throw this one in the garbage and just purchase a new one. Different brand of course and likely different site!

I love this product, I had one before and it last for years and I run it constantly. I am glad I found another like it. More than worth it for the price when you consider how much a bag of ice coast. I highly recommend this

Dissatisfied, product was not supposed to be used. Not sure if it works, dont know if it is a good idea to use the product since it is used.
