LOVE THIS!

So, at first, I didn’t like it because I thought it wasn’t working. However, I realized I was using it wrong. Writing this in case someone does the same. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU CALIBRATE, THAT THE PH STICK SAYS “CALI”. Anyways, this is a great PH meter. It not only works for liquids but also thick creams.

it's finicky

Good: The PH110 is accurate and cheap. I am able to get repeatable flavor and texture when I make cheese, because I can hit all my markers. Bad: The PH110 requires fiddling every time I want to use it. It requires at least one calibration when I take it out of the cabinet. Then if I wait more than a couple of hours between uses, it requires another calibration. Calibration isn't difficult, but it can get pricy because you have to buy pouches of calibration solution. I put the solution in a tupperware bowl and reuse it for a day or two. Ugly: A couple of times, I had to remove the batteries to reset it because it locked up during a calibration.

Used and damaged before use

Opened package and ph tester to find big crystals on the head, nozzle and cap of tester. Crystals usually mean the device was used incorrectly, returned and sold as new. Once Crystals form the device is ruined and unusable.

Testing Personal Care Products

Very easy to use, the meter is pretty great at letting you know what it needs and when it’s time. I haven’t had any issues with freezing or calibration. After having this for quite a while, I do highly recommend.

Perfect for homebrewers

This is a great pH meter! I've wasted money on cheap Milwaukee brand meters that broke in a week. This Extech meter is built much better. The module mine came with, had a broken reference junction cap. The top was broken off, with the threaded part still inside, so I could not remove it to refill the reference solution. I emailed Extech, got a response that day, they shipped me a new module at no charge. I'm a homebrewer and I use this meter to measure pH in kombucha, jun, cider and ale at this time.

Won't recalibrate

I was able to use it once in the morning. When I went to use it again it has a -1. I followed the instructions to recalibrate and it's not working. So disappointed for such an expensive product.

Love my Extech!

I bought this to use for cheese making, and it has fulfilled all my expectations, including the ability to check the pH of the cheese itself, rather than just the whey as most other meters are limited to. I can only hope that it will prove as reliable in the long run as it has in the short run, providing reliable information to 2 decimal points, which comes in very handy. I love it and would recommend it to anyone needing such accuracy and reliability.

This is great for in the field on the spot testing

This is great for in the field on the spot testing. Easy to use and calibrates quickly. Less skilled personnel can use with little training. I’m an analytical chemist and use this probe for instant checks. It’s great there is a 3 point calbration feature.
