Great car seat for safety and length of use, IF you can lug it to the car. Take that tidbit very seriously. Too heavy for me

I am very fluent in car seats, my job requires that I transport kids of all ages daily. The pros, this car seat is the best one as far as safety It is most recommended by fire fighter, emt's and doctors who see the results first hand. Also #1 recommended by thecarseatlady.com This car seat is good for 10 years. It is beautiful. Your child will be safe and comfortable. The cons, it is not practical for infants in rear facing position. The car seat is too tall in some cars that there is no room to get the baby in and out of the seat without actually getting in the back seat while you hold child so that you are next to the seat and can put child in from this position. The bsck of the seat is almost touching the ceiling of a lot of cars. You've read this before, mind you, I'm 5'3 and 140 lbs. I deal with kids of all sizes daily. I have horses, drive an F-450 while hauling my horse trailer and can setup horse camp by myself, so I don't really feal like a wuss. This thing is heavy! I'm not joking, I read the reviews and knowing my lifestyle figured it would be heavy but I could certainly handle it I have a Recaro that is heavy too.... NOT THIS HEAVY! I've had t he car seat less than a week and have had to move twice. I'm sending it bsck, as I give it everything I've got to move it across the garage I think, are you kidding me. I need a hand truck to move the car seat. Too heavy for this cowgirl to deal with foe any length of time. Bottom line, it's the safest there is and lasts longer than most. But it is ridiculously heavy , there are lady's who will not be able to move it. Britax has an 8 year life and an excellent safety record. Recaro is an amazing car seat on the heavy side but manageable, these are the seats I will stick with. I really wanted and tried to love this seat but with the inpracticality of infant rear facing and the almost impossible weight it is impossible. For everyone who reads this, don't take the heavy thing lightly....it will factor in even if you only move the seat occasionally.

Not 3" diameter

Product details list the diameter as 3". It's just shy of 2 3/4". I bought this to use as padding in an arrow tube, and it works, but doesn't fit as tightly as I'd hoped.

LIFESAVER!!!

I had tried everything to make my car seat level and nothing worked well or was the right height to correct enough but not over correct. This was perfect and super reasonably priced

It works

I use this to level out a Britax infant seat base in my 02 Camaro. We also used this recently to level the seat in several SUVs that we were test driving. It seems high quality but it does have some permanent indents left in it from being installed in the Camaro for a few weeks. The cold weather with wild fluctuations may have helped that. I also strap the seat down pretty hard. They don't seem to be breaking down but even if this does start to break up in a few months I'd gladly buy a new one because it levels the seat and is cheap. If it was very expensive I'd expect it to last forever but it is a cheap piece of foam so I got what I expected. I'll let everyone know if it suddenly falls apart but other than those perma-dents that just help me line everything up when I remove and re-install it, there are no signs of any damage anywhere.

Wish I had bought it sooner. When baby #1 was on the way, we followed the advice of friends and used either a rolled towel or pool noodle from wallyworld that we cut. It was such a silly plan given this item is perfect for ensuring proper car seat installation. Not only is it already cut, a neutral color, and perfect diameter, but it seems to compact less (doesn't flatten) over time than the other home-made things we tried. We have 2 types of seats-- a bench seat in a large ford truck, and captains chairs in a GMC SUV. This noodle was perfect for both types of vehicles and we have installed a baby carrier, convertible, and now 5-point harness booster much faster and safer since we bought the diono noodle.

Was going to buy pool "noodles" because this is what we had used previously in our car, but those are hard to come by in winter. Instead opted to go with these. While these are noting more then hard foam, they are exactly what we needed. We tried sticking several different items underneath our car seats, but none held up as good as these. If you've ever gone to one of the state-approved carseat check centers or at fire departments, a non-branded version of these is what they hand out to support car seats. Fit was excellent in our explorer and raised the car seat up considerably to the point that it met requirements for a newborn.

highly recommended! better than pool noodle!

Highly recommended by someone who has spent a lot of time looking into and researching safe installation of car seats, which is shockingly more complicated than you might think. This was extremely helpful in getting our car seats to sit straight in our old car where the seats are very squishy. So much more effective than a pool noodle. It has saved me hours of installing and uninstalling to try to get a tight fit after the seat would shift and compress after a few days of being installed.

Worth paying for this rather than risking safety with a substitute.

These work well for levelling out an Isofix seat base so that rearward facing car seats sit at the right angle. Many Stage 1+ seats sit bolt upright when used in rearward facing mode (even on adjustable bases) causing babies' heads to loll forwards. These solve the problem by raising the rear of the base off of the seat squab whilst keeping it stable and preventing damage to your car. The price might seem expensive for what is essentially just a piece of foam. You may have something similar lying around but I'd rather be sure that it would survive an impact if an accident was to happen. Note that your Isofix base must have fixings that can be angled to be compatible with this. Just to be clear; the two prongs at the rear that locate onto the Isofix lugs of your car must be adjustable - many bases have a button underneath to allow this.

Does what it says on the tin

Firm foam to provide ideal angle for the infant car seat. This has made it easier to drive by worrying about baby's next all the time while driving a bit less. I highly recommend it for new born babies as it makes the car seat flat enough to be safe yet comfortable.

Works for a 1.4 Renault Megane Y reg

The seats in the Megane are steep. The Diono sit rite keeps Babys' car seat base at the correct angle, we actually use two, placed next to one another NOT one on top of the other, to give more under seat coverage If your Baby's seat sits up too much buy one, now!

This is a good product but could have done to be a little bigger. It certainly helps with positioning but would of been ideal if it was slightly bigger.

purchased the Nuna Reble car seat, but little ones head kept flopping forward when she slept, purchased this to lift one end of the car seat to level it out, product did not work for us at all, it lifted the entire seat up rather than one end, and made the car seat very unstable and unsafe
