Great concept, bad spout design

Love the whole concept except for the down facing spout that constantly drips. Why would you not have it facing up?

What I Needed

This seems sturdy enough but for the stick that holds the whisk. That seems a bit wobbly. Great design touches like the thumbprint near the spout that lets you easily take the top off, and the fold down handle. I haven’t used it yet so I hope the whisk is long enough to grab spices from the bottom and whirl them around.

Great Invention

Love this salad dressing bottle. I have to mix my own and this makes it so easy and mixes and re-mixes it so well, I am eating more salads. Thanks.

Get one!!

Absolutely fantastic! I make a mixture of Balsamic vinegar with olive oil, fresh Basil and grated cheese together. The best tasting and most healthy salad dressing I've ever had.. Makes you want to eat more salads!! Put in refrigerator after making it!!

Flimsy and leaks

Flimsy and cannot get it to quit leaking. Also doesn't seem to mix well if 3/4 full. Not liking at all.

Great to mix salad dressing

I have used this salad dressing mixer for over a year now and I still love it. Make your own mixture of olive oil, vinegar and add herbs and spices. When it is time to use it, move the handle up at the top in and out to mix your oil and vinegar. Great to mix up pre blended packets of salad dressing herbs. Washes easily, is neat and clean on the kitchen counter. It is very economical and healthy to blend your own special vinegars with olive oil and spices and not have all these salad dressing bottles made with excess sugar in the refrigerator. A must-have kitchen tool.

Disappointed in performance

I bought the Chef'n Salad Dressing Mixer after using an older version at a friend's house. Her mixer worked and poured beautifully. I admit my mixer does a great job at emulsifying but that doesn't make up for the deficiencies. The rubber/plastic sleeve attached to the removable top/emulsifier blades does not prevent salad dressing from escaping when pouring. You must hold the top down when pouring. Learned from experience that if you don't the top flies off and dressing goes everywhere. Not sure what's changed in the design from the older designs but changes haven't improved performance.

This works beautifully.

The best vinaigrette maker I have ever used, certainly the easiest. I use it mostly for Balsamic vinaigrette (my favourite) takes less than five minutes, can't get the same results just shaking the mix in a bottle. The mix emulsifies perfectly for a smooth result.
