I did size up a bit more than normal. I am 5’8” and weigh about 140 and bought a size 30 and they fit great. Sit high waisted which I love!

These shorts are great. They fit well and have no stretch which is what I wanted. The rips in stretchy jeans look cheap and these don't have that cheap look! Love them!!

I got one size or two bigger cuz I wanted a loose fit, now I haven’t yet washed them but I loveee them and they have that loose fit that I like style, than order a size or two bigger. And they are long I was worried they were gonna be short. There perfect fit for me and I’m glad I got a 29. I’m usually a 28 in Levi’ jeans. They don’t show my butt when I bend down and I have another pair of billabong shors that lasted forever same style but way shorter. My old pair were a 25 but those are super tight on me I could barely button them and after having a baby I had gained some weight so I’m deff a larger size now. I was so lucky they were on sale but I would of still paid full price if I tried these on in a store. And no there is no fabric behind the ripped parts but I like it, gets super hot here in fl so deff prefer it. it’s comfortable when I sit down so yea also I wore those about 8 times haven’t washed them yet and that’s how they look on me. Pics to show. Cuz I didn’t have any reviews or pics to help me decide if these were the right shorts for me. Hope this helps somebody else! :)
