Great if purchasing for beginner level usage, as rated by others - poor packaging, slightly damaged

Our grandkids - 9 and 11 years old - were beside themselves when they opened up the package. Lots of fun was had shooting the deer target with their new bows and arrows. Overall, this is a good product for the price; works great for beginners around the age of our grandkids that will be using this more for the fun of it and not really for serious and routine target practice. The packaging was very poor - items were just placed in box with no wrap or protection at all. Luckily, all pieces were intact. The body of the deer appeared to have been used. There were several dents that looked like were made from a rounded arrow tip and other places that looked like arrow penetrations. Also the removable vital organs section was damaged on the smaller back side - looked like a 2 inch or so chunk had broken off and had been glued back in place. Because of the timing of our order, we decided to keep it and give to our grandkids as planned, knowing that the target would soon show some damage from usage anyway. The antlers attached easily - you just push the knife-like plastic points into the deer form - but we're not so sure that they will stay on for the long haul as they don't seem to be that firmly in place. On a positive note, the deer target was easy to mount on the stakes in the yard and holds up well to the target practicing thus far. Overall, this was a great hit with the grandkids and we're happy we purchased this item for them.

Target works great

Shipping took about 2wks but it was estimated to take longer, when it got here the shipping box was light and undamaged but the manufacturer box looked like it had been crushed on one end. After unpacking the target I realized the ears were broke off but everything else seemed ok, a little 3m glue and 4hrs later the ears were back on and it was ready to go. I know that's not much to some especially considering it is a foam target but for the price looks like whoever packed it would've noticed the damage and sent a non damaged target but maybe that's to much to ask of people these days. All and all the description was accurate and functions as stated by manufacturer but due to the lack of quality control I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars. With that said I would recommend this to a friend.

Skinny

If you don't hit the "vitals" the arrow is hard to remove

Perfect replacement for worn out Big Shooter core.

When ordering - be sure to order the correct insert. There is also a similar looking crossbow insert that is heavier and does not fit the archery Big Shooter buck.

Overall, it's ok.

Inspected box upon arrival and the box was perfect. Opened it up and found the ears to be broken off. Not a big deal, glued it back on and it works. Quality is ok. It looks like it will hold up for a while but we'll see.

Cheap and skinny

Not worth $147 after taxes. Too skinny, hard to remove arrows, and not durable.

Just spend the extra money and get a better one.

I've ordered hundred of things off Amazon and haven't reviewed anything. I feel like I should do a review for this product though. I'll start with the unboxing. The target arrived at my house in an unopened box, but when I opened it and inspected the target, it appeared damaged to begin with. There were no arrow marks or anything like that, but there were small chunks missing from the target. This is a cheap target, plain and simple, and I'm not talking about the retail price here. It is extremely light, and the core insert does not stay in place when you shoot it with the antlers facing to the right. So essentially you have to practice with the target broadside with the left shoulder facing you. I had to turn the target that way so the core would not come out every time after an arrow struck it. I'm shooting a 70lb compound bow with 100gr field tips on 350 spine arrows by the way. Also, the wrong instructions were included with this target. There were instructions for the glen del buck 3d target, but of course this is not that model. In summary, you get what you pay for. It will do for now while I work on my accuracy and technique, but I don't expect it to hold up for very long.

Shelf life of a peeled banana

I like the price of this target. I don’t like feeling like I’m getting taken advantage of every time I buy one of these. The vitals have chunks flying off the back from shot one. I’m only shooting 450 grain 5mm Easton Axis arrows. I’ll blow through the vitals within two weeks of purchase. The target is barely stopping arrows already. I’d say it I’m disappointed, but I’m familiar with this style of target. I’m not going to get on the seller for selling a product every other target retailer has available.

mine arrived whit the ears broken and after only one session whit a 52 lbs traditional bow that pass true the back of the target had big chunk that comme out it won,t last long maybe good for 10 practice max
