wonderful

i originally had trouble with the mono i was attaching it to breaking no matter what type of knot i used but found that a loop to loop connection never breaks. i tie a perfection loops on the tippet and leader, the loop to loop connection pulls tight and doesn't hinge. tie your fly on with a lefty's loop and you're all set, no kinks.

Just what I needed.

Have purchased this brand of wire before. I really like the small diameter and flexibility but it does seem to kink fairly easy and you can not get it out. Worth the money if you like to fish in an area where there are toothy critters that like to take you expensive crankbaits. CC

Love this stuff

I fish in a lot of places where you can get an occasional sting ray, needlefish, or barracuda that will snap any mono or fluorocarbon leader. But a big stiff wire leader is going to scare away smaller fish and will not transmit any bites up the line. This stuff is the perfect compromise - it is tough, but you can tie it like mono, and it is almost as flexible as fluoro. I use it for all my jigs when fishing for jacks, and on larger hooks when using live bait for bigger fish.

Best leader material

I've been using this stuff for years and it is great! I use a simple jam knot to tie on swivels and snaps. When a toothy fish twists and strips the end near the hook, I just cut off the damaged piece and tie the snap back on.

Works ok for making your own leader

This is a decent product for making your own leader but I have found that Rio Bite Wire knots much better and is a lot more flexible.
