Hot damn! These are quiet!
I didn't realize these were Peltor when I bought them and thought they'd be just like others I've tried. I even have an old set of Peltor's that the plastic coverings over the insulation/cushion is cracking from age. I still use those because they're still good, and I would like to just buy replacement cushion parts. I like to have ear-pro and eye-pro handy, so I have some on each floor of my living space, thus I thought I'd get another pair to be handy. When I put these on, my literal reaction was "Hot damn!!" They were fantastic! Not as good as a $500 pair of noise-cancelling headphones, but the best standard ones I've ever used.

Sets the standard
This is the only kind of hearing protection I have used for the past 20 years and I finally had to replace the one I've used for so long because the ear cups wore out. It's a shame you can't buy replacement parts for this, but I can't complain about getting 20 years of use.

Bought another pair
A bought a second pair because I used/liked the first enough to get another (I have loud tools in both my basement and garage). I sometimes use them with separate (wired) earbuds to listen to music without issue. I debated getting a much more expensive model for that purpose, but cheap earbuds can be replaced for $10 and last a few years. My only slight complaint is that these are hot to use in the summer. I don’t see how that could be avoided.

Keeps you Sane Even if Loud Howard is in the Cube Next to you
The guy in the cube next to be in incredibly loud (like the character in Dilbert). These earmuffs are helping me keep my sanity. I put my music earbuds in and these on top of them and Loud Howard can no longer be heard.

Very good noise cancellation and very comfortable.
I keep these handy for quick use in the kitchen when using noisy appliances. They provide excellent sound reduction. You would have to buy the 3M Peltor X5A muffs (which I use in my shop) to do better. These are also very comfortable for long-duration use, even if your hair is thin or missing. I highly recommend these. If you must have the absolute best noise reduction in passive earmuffs, go with the 3M Peltor X5A. The Optime 105s are not quite as good, but for all but the most extreme environments, they are better.

Cancels Volcanic Levels of Construction Noise in the Basement
I'm told the construction will go one for six weeks. With this I don't have I can feel the building shake but don't have to listen to heavy duty power tools. Very nice!

They perform their intended function
I wasn't sure what to expect from these, but I've seen Peltor Optime 105 earmuffs used in many professional settings and wanted to try them. No one has really done this, but I'm actually going to compare them with pretty much the best noise reducing headphones today, the Sony WM-1000XM4. So, what's the difference? -Their noise reducing capabilities are similar, but the WAY noise is reduced is completely different -The Sony headphones are better at reducing both high and low frequencies (for example, you can hear your own voice very well with the Peltor earmuffs, but much less so with the Sony headphones). -"Overall" the Peltor earmuffs feel like they reduce ambient sound a bit more. The Sony headphones retain a very small level of pleasant white noise (I suspect, to mask the limitations of their amplifier etc). It's hardly noticeable, but it's there. -Subjectively, the remaining environmental noise is considerably more pleasant on the Sony headphones. They do a better job of "taking you out of your environment" in a pleasant way. With the Peltor earmuffs, it feels like your head is in a tight jar, which is fine, but it's not as relaxing. -Low frequency sounds like the beating of your heart, movements of your head etc - are much less noticeable with the Sonys, which is a big benefit. Those sounds can get annoying on the Peltor if your environment becomes quieter. -The amount of noise reduction from the Peltor earmuffs depends almost completely on how hard they clamp around your ears, which is why they are extremely tight out of the box. This is not true of the Sonys. Since they rely on electronic noise reduction, they don't need to seal around your ears nearly as much, which makes them a lot more comfortable to wear for a long time. They are also smaller and a little lighter than the Peltor earmuffs. -The electronic noise reduction of the Sonys has conservative upper limits, which means that even a little bit of outside wind will overload their external microphones, and you'll hear all kinds of noises on the inside as a result. The Peltor earmuffs don't have this problem of course, which makes them the only solution for actual extreme noise (jet engines, weapons, heavy machinery etc). In other words, if your goal is ear PROTECTION, then no electronic headphones are going to cut it. -The obvious benefit of the Sony headphones it that you can also play music, get game audio, watch videos and whatever else appeals to you. -The obvious benefit of the Peltor earmuffs is that there is no battery to drain, unlike the Sonys. There is also the cheap price of course. Since a lot of people are using these Peltor Optime 105 earmuffs for conservative personal applications, I wanted to offer this comparison. If they are too tight for you, the metal band can be stretched out a little, but you will lose some performance. In a critical application with deafening sounds, I wouldn't do that. In a personal application, it would be fine.

My expectations were too high
Bought these for two reasons: 1) they're building a condo tower across from our office building, driving beams into rock, etc., it's very loud 2) we have an open office plan and people's voices are disruptive. After using these for a few months, I'd say, they do a good job of attenuating the noise from the construction site. I can still hear it clearly, but it's less annoying. They do nothing at all to block out voices in the room. The best results I get are from wearing them over my earbuds.

Don't look for cheaper options... These are the best money can buy.
H10A or the Previous name (OPTIME 3) are the best there are when it comes to high noise ear protectors. I work in a field where noise levels are extreme. These are essentially the best ear defenders money can buy. In the last 10 years i've bought 5 of these and experience has taught me not to look anywhere else. :)

1. Cuts out nearby noise significantly. 2. ...
1. Cuts out nearby noise significantly. 2. Slightly heavy. You cannot wear for long time. 3. If you are looking for slightly lighter one, you can choose one of of the 26dB or 22dB noise reduction ones. 4. For kids who want to cut out noise for studies, go for a lighter variant.

Essential when living beside loud neighbours!
This is my second pair. I sleep with them some nights. Yes they are bulky. I am a side sleeper, but I arrange my pillows so it works. I set my alarm on my phone and I can hear it enough to wake me up. I am a light sleeper. I live in a townhouse with paper thin walls. I hear neighbours kids screaming, dogs barking, music playing, bongo drums etc at all hours. Yes, 2020 was hell being stuck at home during lockdowns. These saved my sanity. These truly block out all that noise. Other products would hurt the top of my head. ( the band) but not these. Yes my ears feel a little humid in the morning. The pressure is not too tight as to be uncomfortable. I just could not wear ear plugs at night without my ears itching and hurting. I have even used this product camping so that I didn’t have to listen to the crickets. Sometimes I just need quiet time without noise and interruption. These are the best in my opinion.
