Didn't work as planned. But worked in the end.
I bought a powertec dust port that didn't fit any of my hoses (photo 1). It had a 2 3/4 OD and 2/12 ID . So I bought this, thinking I could attach the larger end over the powertec port and my existing hose to the other end. That didn't work, since the connector port is 2 3/4 and powertec port is also 2 3/4. BUT, if you sand the inside of the connector, you can get them to barely fit (Photo 2). However, the suction was really bad with the hose way up there (photo 3). But then I flipped the connector around, and voila, it actually fits. And with this configuration, the hose goes right down to the dust port. I might hacksaw the top of the connector down since it's not serving any purpose, but that's not necessary. That's just for aesthetics.

Products seem to be of good quality but the adapter fittings did not work for my Craftsman blower even though these were Craftsman products also

The OD of the 3 inch end is 2.97 inches and the OD of the 2 1/2 inch end is 2.49
It works perfect to connect a 3 inch dust hose to 2 inch ABS pipe. First clamp on the 3 inch hose to the 3 inch end then clamp on a 2 inch by 2 inch Everconnect 4825 to the 2 1/2 inch end then clamp the other end of the Everconnect 4825 to a section of 2 inch ABS pipe. The size reduction works perfect.

Works great in my 3-inch dust collection system
See the attached photos. The fit is too loose in the 3" DWV pipe, but it fits perfectly in the 3" "Genova" pipe. The hose in the photo is here: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6C4M9J. That hose fits perfectly over the 2 1/2" end of this reducer. My calipers measured the small end at 2.49" and the large end at 2.97".

Measure twice!
Be careful. I read the reviews and everyone seemed to have a Makita planer just like myself. I have the dust hood adapter from Makita which measures 3" on the outlet side. This adapter did not fit my Makita hood (note, my hood is Makita turquoise color, not black). Perhaps Makita changed their outlet size with the black model? I will continue to look for an adapter that fits this strangely sized vac port. Right now I found a small piece of accordion tubing that actually fits quite well. If your a like me, I will be adding this to my 5-gallon bucket filled with a bunch of other adapters. Good luck.

Usefull
Good adapter, i used it to mate a small filter to a 3 inch intake pipe. Had to sand off some material to make the fit but it came exactly as described. Good tapered inside edge for smooth airflow.
