Easy install, plenty bright.

The install was super easy. You won't even need to read the directions. I ordered two of these and one of the six glass bulb covers arrived broken. Amazon has discounted the cost to obtain a replacement cover.

Fit my old ceiling fan

Recently moved into a 1999 house without overhead lights in the living room or master bedroom.(We think maybe Batwoman lived here previously!) Most of the other light kits we had found were ultra-modern and did not suit the our traditional house. I was hesitant to order these for my older ceiling fans (Montecarlo and Concord brands), but the electrician had no problem installing the kits on either fan. One of the globes arrived broken on one kit, which arrived in a slightly damaged package, but we had no problem replacing it with one from the local big box hardware store.

The new light kit definitely provides more light than the one it replaced. It wasn't quite as easy to attach the new kit onto our old bedroom fan as I thought it would be, though. I had to take a part off the old light kit to allow the new one to be attached. I replaced the provided led light bulbs (that gave off a soft yellowish light) with daylight led bulbs to brighten the room even more .

Happy the light arrived Unbroken

Reading other reviews, was a bit worried about receiving broken globes. Ordered two and they arrived with all globes in good condition. But, I can see how easy the Globes could break. It's a manufacturer issue and how they are packaged in the Westinghouse light box. They're not wrapped or insulated at all. We were lucky. Amazon added sufficient wrapping around the manufacturer boxes inside the Amazon box, thank goodness. As far as the actual light, on one fan, it fit perfect. The second fan, a tiny fan of unknown origin, we needed to swap in a longer center bolt (easy to find at hardware store). Very happy with this purchase.

Easy install once you figure out which of the several adapter options works best for your fan. To make a cleaner look, I actually ended up using part of the original fan housing in combination with this.

Moderately simple assembly

It's a nice price for something that could fit my old ceiling fan. Since it is designed to adapt to several different models, there are 3 methods. There are no text instructions, just diagrams. You have to figure out which of the diagrams you should use for your ceiling fan. It went pretty easy. I cut the wires shorter so that there would be less to stuff into the base of the fan. I needed 2 screws to attach the lamp fixture to the fan base, and 9 screws to fasten in the light globes. The package provided 9 screws so I had to buy 2. These "fixture" screws are supposed to be 8-32 thread, but are never well made, so the supplied screws worked fine but the ones I had to buy had to be forced in to the threads. The inclusion of 3 LED bulbs makes the fixture price attractive. The lights are rather more yellow than white, so I hope you like that. I will live with it.

Poor packaging

I opened the package one of the globes was broken. I needed the light so I had to go out and buy a globe that was similar at my local hardware store. Not a good deal ended up costing me extra time and money.I would not recommend this product

Broken

Glass item Shipped in original package. Box was crushed and bottom of box was wide open. Brought it in the house, broken glass fell on the floor. Positive side easy to return and reorder.

Damaged Glass Enclosures

Ok quality product however it was damaged when it arrived. Very inconvenient. They simply deliver in the original box rather than putting it in another stronger box for shipping. Waste of time!
