Great quality
I love that this is metal and the retro style is really nice. We have way too much plastic junk in our world. Note that this is not hot to the touch, shuts off at the slighted tip when I move it and is very quiet on low. The higher fan speed is similar in noise to a fan you would use to cool. However, I usually set it to high and once the room is warm enough, I keep it on low. A small fan like this is best for a bedroom or one area in a larger room.

Weak heat output but cute
Really torn about whether to keep or return this. The retro styling is cute and unique. And I like that it's relatively small and easy to take on the subway with me to work. But it throws out a lot less heat than my other space heater (an Infrared Dr. Heater). Then again, my other heater is much larger -- it's like a small piece of furniture on wheels -- and less stylish. When this Vornado is on "high," it's pretty loud, and throws a lot of air, since it's literally a heated fan. I'm not looking for the feeling of air blowing on me, I'm really just looking for heat, so this isn't ideal. But when I put the Vornado on "low," it's nice and quiet but doesn't throw much heat. If I leave it on "low" all day, it provides enough heat to keep me OK in my little home office (a corner of my bedroom). I'm trying to decide if that's good enough. With my other space heater, I would turn it on for short bursts of heat, then turn it off when I got too hot. I had the option of having it on low all day, but never seemed to want that. When I'm cold, I want to be warmed up as quickly as possible, I guess. Anyway, I'm seeing if I can get used to a new way of using my space heater -- on at all times, on low, rather than for short bursts of heat -- and feeling like I may come around to this new way of thinking about using a space heater. It is very cute, though I got the off white and don't love it as much as I thought I might -- I think if it were white, it would look better. It kind of looks old and dingy in the off white color. I'm thinking about exchanging this for the turquoise color. That may be where I land in all this. We'll see. OK, end of novel.

Evenly Heats: Stays Cool
One of the most fascinating aspects of this heater is how cool to the touch the entire unit stays, and how evenly the heat is distributed outwardly.

Just great
Our furnace has been out for months now, and we've been borrowing space heaters from friends. Bought this to increase our coverage and it's the best of the bunch by far. Heats up an average size bedroom in just a few minutes. Quieter than all the others we've tried (including a Dyson), and the thermostat works well. It's fairly small so doesn't get in the way. Really pleased with this purchase.

Good heater, not unreasonably loud
Good unit, happy with purchase. Rarely have to use the central heating in Florida, and this unit will further cut it's usage. I almost didn't buy it because there were a bunch of reviews on this and the cheaper non-vintage look Vornado heater saying they were unbearably loud but I found it to be a reasonable noise level for what it is. There are 2 settings, the fan setting and the heat setting. When fan is set to low, it's a faint noise. I have this in my office and it makes less noise than the air purifier. It warms sufficiently well on low and it stays there 99% of the time. The only time I put it on high is for a few minutes in the morning when I'm making coffee to blow the chill out of the room before I start work, and it does the job very well. When fan is set to high, it's fairly loud, but not overwhelming. If it was in the corner of the living room on high and you had TV/music playing, you'd still hear it but wouldn't be so loud it drowns out whatever you're listening to. I probably wouldn't want to read a book in a quiet room next to it on high, but I don't think you'd need to keep it on high for extended periods of time, it warms the space fast. Overall works great for me, but Florida "cold" is probably not the greatest gauge for it.

Yes, they do. What a pleasant surprise. A fan with sought heft, well-made, and whisper quiet. This fan is way better than what we were expecting. Have been using for past two months and most pleased. So good, almost desire another cool room to rationalize acquiring another one.

Cute, hard working, but TINY
Can’t beat the aesthetics, and it does give you a nice if narrow stream of heat, but it’s really small for the price. It could easily fit onto a nightstand.

Great little room heater!
Bought this heater for my home office which is in the furthest room of the house away from the furnace... so it does get chilly in there. Super impressed with this little heater; it heats up the space quickly and has an adjustable thermostat dial on the back for how often you want it switching on. The lower fan speed is quiet enough for me to not worry about it kicking in when I'm on the phone while it's only 4 feet away. Also, for anybody that plays video games, it has a great Fall-out 4 vibe to it ;)

Works as well as it looks
I needed a heater in the drafty room where I work and this cute little thing does the job nicely. I find the room gets to a good temperature in a subtle way, without feeling too hot all of a sudden. It's also very safe, so I don't have to worry about the dog coming by when it's on. A good investment and I can't get over how stylish it is.

Fantastic heater

Very classic look. There is no plastic in this product. Made in the USA Does everything it advertises and looks good doing it. Definately recomend for small spaces
