Great piece!

This was an excellent piece for my 16 day trip to Europe, fit easily over my medium roller bag, works for carry on. Love the zipper section on the bottom - perfect for shoes or heavier items, and things that need to lay flat.

Nice bag, but….

I work for an airline, so I know my bags. While this is not the same quality as a travel industry Travelpro product, it does have some benefits. Very spacious. Would be hard pressed to fit under an airliner seat. There is only one pull tab to each zipper, opening and closing one way. There is a magnetic closure for the front phone pocket. That pocket is also very deep. Just what I was looking for. I may be replacing sooner than other travel totes, but giving it a go.

The Perfect Travel/ Carry On

Purchased this to travel to France- as my carry on. The added zipped space at the bottom is ingenious- perfect for either shoes or items you don’t want mixed with other things. Bag is very spacious and has 2 other zippered compartments for cosmetics, headphones, chargers or medications. Just a perfect combo for the plane or a quick getaway.

Wonderful space saving personal item!

Fits under the airplane seat perfectly & now my shoes are out of my carryon bag so it's not so heavy to lift. The side zippered pocket is great for accessing items quickly. Great but with many good features.

Perfect bag for short weekend travel. Color, size and bottom compartment are perfect. Love that the sides do not collapse in if the bag is not full.

Somewhat Disappointing

My wife and I have numerous pieces of Travelpro Maxlite 5 luggage ranging from small carry-on bags to large suitcases. We've always been very pleased with the quality, materials, construction, and design of Travelpro luggage. This drop-bottom carry-on did not meet our expectations. The fabric seems to be lighter in weight and, possibly, less durable than similar Travelpro Maxlite 5 pieces we own. The handles are very light weight and thin with no padding and no Velcro wrap to tie them together, although there is a thin leather-like covering. The thin handles make this carry-on uncomfortable to carry. When compared with the smaller Maxlite 5 Soft Tote, which we own, this drop-bottom weekender tote seems inferior. While this isn't a bad bag, it falls short of my expectations.

Zipper malfunctioned after 1 trip - no longer usable

We just got back from our long-anticipated trip and enjoyed using this bag - it was very handy. HOWEVER, the zipper for the bottom compartment just malfunctioned, making this bag no longer usable. (see photo) We cannot figure out if there is a way to fix it. Sadly, it is past the return window, so we will have to "eat" this purchase. VERY disappointed!!!

Size is just right

Fabric is durable, pretty color, water resistant. Zippers are good quality but tend to occasionally get caught on fabric underneath. A quick pull back and forth corrects it. Suitcase size is perfect for my purposes. The zippered compartment under the main compartment held the charging cables for my phone, iPad, Kindle, Mac Air and 16" laptop, my toiletries, underwear and still had room to spare. The U-shaped opening for the main compartment was a plus so I could see everything at once and allowed for easy packing. The main compartment held 2 medium sized packing cubes that contained 5 tops, a dress, a light jacket, 3 capris and 1 pair of long pants as well as my full size laptop, Kindle, iPad and 4 spiral notebooks with a little room to spare. I bought two of these bags and packed each similarly. They were easy to carry and take up less room than a standard rectangular suitcase. I'm glad I bought them.
