Great boot except

This is a really nice, well built, good-looking boot that fits GREAT. About myself. I'm 6'3" and weigh 350 lbs. I have wide feet. Won't even consider a boot or sneaker that's not a wide size and even then, they don't always fit. I wore these in my house for 4-5 hours. Heels stay in place with no rubbing and the anti-fatigue insoles make walking very comfortable. This boot is wide and provides a lot of support yet stays in place on your foot. In other words, it doesn't feel like your feet are swimming in them. Toe box is great. I was surprised how easy it was for me to move my toes around especially being a composite toe. Not being able to move my toes around is almost always an issue for me and that's with boots that are soft toe, these are a composite toe. Also, this boot is very easy to get on and off. You don't have to wrestle with them for ten minutes just getting them on and laced up or getting them off. The only issue with this boot is the eyelet/speed hook combination at the top of the boot. They stick out pretty far on the inside of the boot and dig into my skin. Bad....bad design! I wish Timberland either went with an eyelet or a speed hook not this AIO nonsense. Awful design! Truly heinous! Feels like there's a Pitbull biting on the side of my leg. Terrible! Even though I had to return, the fit/feel, support and look of this boot is so great, I still give it 5 stars. I'll return for the 8" boot. The eyelets/speed hooks are higher up on the 8" boot and you don't have to lace them all the way up just to keep them on your feet. FYI people. This is a work boot. It's big, bulky and heavy. They're supposed to be that way. If you don't want that then don't buy this boot. I've read a lot of reviews here where people complained about that. If you don't want big and bulky than try a cheap hiking style boot like something from Merrell. Will let you know how the 8" boot feels.

Timberland Pro Boondocks

3rd pair within 2 years. Warm during the Winter. However, there are a few cons. They run wide; so if you don’t have thick socks on, your feet slide in them. Despite having a thick sole, the heal and the sole tread wear down very easily. I tried to get a new pair under warranty within 9 months of having my first pair, but I was denied the claim. This was despite having photos of the unusually fast wear down of the heal and sole—including holes on the heal. The upper portion of the boots also gets worn down much too fast. I work as a City Public Works employee and thus need comfort, warmth and durability in a boot. I have not received the full satisfaction with this brand of boot. My current pair, despite being one month old, looks more like they are 8-10 months old. Honestly, this may be my last pair that I purchase as a work boot. Perhaps I’ll keep Timberlands as a stylish boot and not as a dependable and enduring work boot.

Lasted Longer than expected

I bought these in 08/2020, it is now 02/2023 and they have finally got to the point of falling apart. I work in construction as an electrician. Lots of walking, climbing ladders, standing on concrete all day. I think I replaced the insoles once. Probably won't buy again. Comfort is about a 6/10. Not horrible, but for the money, it could be better.

so in the Air Force I wore an 11W, ordered the same for this. my toes kept rubbing against each other and it felt uncomfortable. I tried different socks, and then instead of taking the laces through the holes, I just wrapped them around the quick ties, it seemed to help, but I am unsure if I go with W or not with timberlands.

No CSA Rating (Green Triangle) - For DIYers and US Contractors.

I should preface I purchased these and without even inspecting them, I wore them to work and failed a safety inspection as they didn't have CSA rating. (Canadian Standards Association rating, required in Canadian workplaces that demand safety boots) Thankfully, Amazon took the boots back through their awesome return policy. However, it is really crappy that they're selling the American version of the boots on the Canadian website when even Timberland doesn't sell any non-CSA boots in Canada. I've literally bought the 8" Boondock model on Amazon years ago and thankfully that was the Canadian version-- blind faith let me down this time. Pros: - Very comfortable for DIYer environments. - Having used the Canadian CSA version of these boots in the 8" version previously, very effective against workplace hazards. (I've dropped doors, toilets, vanities and more on my toe with the previous model) - Very well insulated. Great during winters, hot during summers. Cons: - To reiterate, these are the American version and not CSA approved or labelled. If you work in a professional construction, warehouse or environment that requires safety boots within Canada, they will require CSA approval (the green triangle logo). Note that in all cases where CSA is required, you will NOT receive insurance coverage if you wear these and encounter an incident. - Not recommended for warm environments due to the added insulation. there should be a CSA green triangle on the right tounge,there isnt one on either boot so what else should i say other than it better be explained to the customer rather than just take their money and run while they now need to het the right boots with the Triangle. timberland just doesnt get it. you suckered me. your customer remember!!

nice for the price and true to size

FIT : I am true 9.5 4E (extra Wide) foot. My feet are like shapes of bricks. I usually order size 10's in WIDE but then they are a bit big (the length) With these, because they are actually WIde (they mean wide when they say it) i was able order to my true size of 9.5 and they fit great. I like them so far.
