Quality product, beware of cheapies.
My Tanaka line trimmer originally came with a large spool of orange coloured Tanaka cutting line, which worked perfectly. When it eventually ran out I bought some generic (but not low cost) line with the same diameter and expected it to work the same, but it didn't! That stuff kept sticking and causing problems with the 'brain' (auto feed) head of the tool, until I discovered it was simply softening and sticking to itself in the spool head (the head gets warm in use). After muttering some expletives I went to a mower shop and bought some more genuine Tanaka line in a big packet. That new Tanaka line worked fine, although it was not near as fluoro coloured as the original line that came with the machine (and took a while to use up). This latest lot I simply bought on Amazon, it's the correct size and an even bigger spool (1 kilo). The price is low, the colour is bright orange once again, the plastic container is better than the very thin cardboard boxes of the last spools, and the product works just fine. No melting, no jamming in the dispenser box, no running out for a while, and more visible also which is a good thing. Very pleased with this purchase. I'm sure some other lines must also be good, but I don't recommend endless experimenting when I know which product gives no problems :-)

Best trimmer line on the market.
I am committed fully to the Tanaka product line. I use their 25cc weed eater (BC-255PF) with this line and also their oil mix. I have had several brands of weed eaters over the years and this is bar none the best of the lot. I highly recommend the entire line of Tanaka products for lawn and garden care. I have been using them for about ten years now and though they are better known in the commercial world they are beginning to gain acceptance in the home care business too. Try it out; you will be a happy whacker!!!

Excellent. I have used various products from big box stores, none of which worked well. Either they broke frequently and were used up quickly, or they fused together on the spool requiring me to disassemble the spool and loosen the coil. This product does non of that, it gets used up slowly and has never hung up, leaving me with more time and less frustration.

Does a reasonably good job clearing heavier weeds and grasses. Better than most similar products.
