Cats love it, Owner still learning
I feel I am still learning the “quirks” of this water fountain. I find it odd that it came with no info on buying replacement filters. However, .thanks to another review, I found where I can buy additional filters (through Amazon).. The biggest pro is that my large cats are able to access the fountain while standing and seem to drink more frequently and without their whiskers and face getting into the water. Another plus is the quiet operation. Both are advantages over my previous fountain. I did find water can be added by slowly pouring into the top (another issue solved).. Taking it apart for cleaning is not the easiest as the “pull tab” on the reservoir is not long enough to effectively grasp. I end up taking the entire fountain to the kitchen counter and having to wrangle the reservoir out. I’m not really into the “blue tooth” operating options and don’t notice when the water level is low (I haven’t received the warning on my phone) or “offline “. Since it is an entirely “closed” system, when it is in “smart mode” or if the water level is low, the cats have essentially no water to drink as the water all recedes into the bottom reservoir. I am concerned about going away on a trip, that the cats may be without water if this is their only source or if my petsitter would be able to add water and operate it. The instructions could be more detailed in explaining the operation. Perhaps once I get used to it, I will find it a little more “human user-friendly”. Since the cats appear to like it and they find it easier to drink from, this fountain is a keeper.

Not that great.
Pros: The fountain is really quiet. Cons: My cats really don't like drinking from it. The fountain will randomly turn off, this happened when I was away on a business trip. Taking off the lid to refill the water is a pain.

Not worth the money
We have had this fountain for about 2 weeks. I bought this as a replacement for a different fountain. This fountain is difficult to refill because the tab to raise the top is hard to grasp. I have started prying it up with a butter knife. I have trouble turning the fountain on. The directions were poor. I have no idea of what the app is called. I do not recommend purchasing.

Water fountain for cats that connects to mobile app and alerts you to add water
Easy to setup, everything you need is included and the process for connecting this to the mobile app is simple. Once you plug it in the first time, after filling it with water and installing the filter, when you press the button to turn it on, it will flash to let you know it’s ready to be paired with the corresponding mobile app. The benefits of using the mobile app (Smart Life) is that you will get a notification when more water needs to be added. You can also turn it on/off remotely or you can automate a schedule to control it based on time/day. I primarily only use it because I like being alerted when more water needs to be added. If you don’t want to connect it to the internet at all, you could also do this but the flashing light might get annoying.

UPDATE: Found 3rd party filter. Good fountain. No OEM filter replacement currently available.
The media could not be loaded. For the most part I like this water fountain, but there are some things that could be improved. My cat took to this fountain right away. He didn’t even mind when it suddenly turned the pump on while he was drinking. The pump runs quietly, unlike our old units. Pairing it with the smart app was easy. The app functionality is simple. It lets you turn the device on or off, choose if u want the pump to run continuously (Normal mode) or intermittent (Smart mode), schedule when to run LED lamp and also lets you schedule the duration after which it will remind you to replace filter and clean the unit. The fountain comes with only one filter and so far I have not found where I can get a replacement. I found some other brand filters on Amazon that might fit but I have yet to confirm that with manufacturer. If I don’t find suitable filter, this would be a big deal breaker when it comes to keeping this unit. Hopefully the manufacturer will start selling their filters here on Amazon soon. I did not like that the water level is only marked on the outside of the unit while the internal removable water container had no markings. It was a guesstimate how much to fill it up. This removable container should have a “max water” level marked. I also think that instead of normal LED light or in addition to it this unit should have a UV light to sanitize the water so that it effectively kills bacteria. The unit comes with a UL listed power plug and I was happy about that since it is a water appliance. UPDATE 09/19/2022: Found filters that fit this fountain: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0B422Y8ZD The fountain still works as before. However, it did run out of water while we were away and it did not alert me on the Smart app... so what good is that smart app for? The app is useless. Luckily we had a cat sitter visiting daily and she was refilling other water bowls around the house.

Decent Fountain
This water fountain for cats is pretty good. The biggest issue we have is that when adding water to it, how the lid is it frequently overflows before you realize it, and makes a gigantic mess. It also doesn't hold as much as I hoped. But it works, is quiet, and has a night light.
