Pro-Tec Athletics Hinged Knee Brace (X-Large)
This brace arrived with the hinges in backwards. I switched it and then had difficulty pulling it tight enough to prevent it from slipping down. It turned out to be easier to fasten with the backward hinges. The opening for the kneecap was not reinforced so it was very similar to the opening behind the knee. So I switched the hinges again. On me, it was loose below the kneecap and fit better above the kneecap. After you get it on tight enough it works pretty well.

This brace was recommended by my husband's PT as a possibility for his knee problem. He wasn't able to tolerate the pain that resulted when he put it on his knee two times. Consequently, it was returned. There was no fault with the brace, it arrived on time and was well made. X-rays showed there was a bone-on-bone condition, so my husband has been scheduled for knee replacement by his orthopedic surgeon. The fact that Amazon would accept the return of this brace is much appreciated. YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE! MY ACCOUNT SAYS THAT A REFUND HAS BEEN ISSUED, BUT I CAN'T FIND WHERE THE CREDIT HAS BEEN POSTED. IT DOESN'T APPEAR ON MY GIFT CARD. PLEASE ADVISE.

Pretty Good
This is heavy duty and heavy to wear - I'm 66 years old so don't need one this supportive - I'm sure it's excellent support during sports activities.

Puckers Below Kneecap
I hope I can use this after altering the area below the kneecap. It comes straight down instead of curving under the kneecap. When you tighten the straps, the rubber makes a pucker right in front. You cannot return these so I hope I can alter the pucker out of it. Very sweaty to wear since it is rubber.

Not happy with the brace
This brace that was ordered for a patient. The fit was good and the ease of donning of the brace was okay but within one week the brace was falling apart. I had to replace the brace for the patient This not only put the patient at an inconvience but also left me looking as if I provide cheap products.

Very Comfortable and good stability
I'm trying to avoid knee replacements for as l..o..n..g as possible. In addition to problems with the joint itself, I frequently get tendonitis on the outside of each knee. I've tried other more expensive OTC braces and they've been alright but nothing felt as supportive and as comfortable as the ProTech Wrap Around Hinged Knee Brace. I can finally walk my dog without pain and camping is once again in my future. I wish I had found this brace a long time ago. Great brace at a fair price.

Not good if playing any sport.
Makes you sweat and then starts slipping down. If your just walking around the house it is good and firm.

Buyer beware
I am extremely disappointed in this purchase. If i could leave a zero I would. I wanted a brace that would stabilize my patella. The pictures of this item make it look as though there is an adjustable strap under the patella. However, when I opened the package I realized that is not the case. The "strap" is sewn to the brace as if it's there for decoration only. I can't even use this item. The description said unused items could be returned but when I tried to set up a return, it was refused. I am out money & stuck with a brace I can't use.
