Great spoon.

I love this thing, a person could even use it for self protection in a pinch : ). Seriously though it is sturdy, well made and does a great job stirring heavy stews, chowders etc. and I’ll be using in canning this summer. If you need a hard worker this is it

Good for brewing. Don’t abuse your kids with it.

I needed a long spoon for stirring my mead and wine and this spoon does the job. Long enough to hold onto and still get to the bottom of a 6.5 gallon Big Mouth Bubbler. It’s making it super easy for me to make mead. If you’re the type that likes hitting your children because they’re too small to defend themselves, it would also work as a spanking spoon. But it’s better as a brewing aid.

Handle could be a little “stir”dier.

The handle is a little weak. If you’re trying to stir heavy stew or a boil you need to be careful the spoon doesn’t bend.

This spoon is awesome, I just used it for 3 batches of all grain beer. It is very sturdy and easy to clean. While mixing the grain with the water the spoon did not bend or flex at all working very well even for the thicker grain bed. The length and spoon size was perfect for my 5 gallon batch, but should also work great when I step up to a 10 gallon batch. I am not sure if it would be long enough for a 15-20 batch you might need a longer handle when you make that much.

Only a spoon full!

A close friend of mine asked me if he could have some of the ice cream I bought and I responded with "only a spoon full" then he proceeded to take out this spoon which is of the comically oversized variety and there was nothing I could do to stop him at that point.

Great Homebrewing Spoon

My husband got into homebrewing last year, and in passing asked if I could find a "really long metal spoon" for his brewing stuff. I did a quick search, found this (21" version), and thought it was too good to be true. This spoon is very inexpensive, even with shipping. But I figured what the heck I'd give it a try, and if it turned out to be cheap and not work, well, my husband could go find a spoon himself. ;) I was very pleasantly surprised at how solid this spoon is. And it's well-made. And it works GREAT. My husband has zero complaints about its performance. It works perfectly with his big kettle, and it's easy to clean too (dishwasher safe). The only negative for the long spoon is it's challenging to find a good spot for it in the kitchen. So it lives with the other homebrew supplies in the man cave downstairs. But other than that, it's been perfect!

Good value. Got what was expected.

Great value. Sturdy spoon stood up well to a full mash tun of barley without flexing. Mine had a little burr on the side which scratched my hand, but some 220 grit fixed it easily.
