the shoe I bought runs very small
I loved the shoe. Gorgeous. Great styling. Great colors and details. Great looking strap buckle but in reality the ease of velcro. Arrived quickly. But when I put the shoe on I was shocked to find that it was so tight (and stiff, actually) that it felt like my foot had been crushed. I even got a size bigger than usual and figured the strap would keep it on, but the pain was too much. My foot did not even cram in all the way. I felt like Cinderella's ugly stepsister. So, I had to return it and was fearing THAT process because there was no return label. These people made it SO easy, so gracious they are. They sent me a code for the UPS store to scan. The whole process was done in a flash. Thank you Spring Step. I will not be shy about trying other shoes from you and maybe ordering them in 2 sizes larger than my usual 38. Awesome shoes
I ordered these as one of four pair I tried using Prime Wardrobe. The rest were black to go with a black dress for a dressy event. I tried these on and fell in love. The black shoes went back. These took my dress to a new level. They are extremely comfortable and easy to adjust with velcro "buckles". Now for the sad side of the story. I broke my foot and will not be able to wear them with my lovely dress. I'm in a 'boot" and dressing up is now a challenge. In the future I'll wear these shoes with anything that goes with them. Then again, I love funky shoes.

L'Artiste is the most comfortable shoe made today! Love this shoe and is just about the only brand I will buy...I own 10pair in different styles and sizes...these just didn't fit so I will return. Darn! love the color and style!

Soooo Cute, but returned.
But as other reviewers have said--they are on the small and narrow side. I usually wear a US size 10 which translates somewhere around a 41. I ordered 42, but they felt more like a 40 (9.5 USA) Another issue I was disappointed in was the faux buckle: It was poorly attached so that the pointy part stuck straight out at 90 degrees from the side of the foot. If you zoom in on the Amazon picture, you'll see what I mean. Ouch! I also noticed a squeak when I walked. This is usually my favorite brand, so I was quite sad. Thank goodness they were available through Amazon Wardrobe so I could try before I bought.
