This item does not expand.

The description reads expandable however, the luggage does not expand at all. Therefore, I do not like it.

Worth every penny

Bought this for an int’l trip. Went through at least 8 different airports, with both bigger boxes pushing the weight limits of 45-50 lbs. All zippers held up fine - trust me, I travel heavy. Durable, lightweight (almost feels like kevlar), well designed. I’ve had issues with wheels breaking off previous luggage and was concerned when I placed the order, let’s talk about how well designed the wheel placement on this one is. Lastly, I chose this color way to easily identify my luggage coming down the carousel - best decision!

Functional not overly thrilled

Ordered these on an Amazon flash sale on Black Friday. I ordered Blue and Silver was delivered (picture attached of sticker and very well labeled box). They were for a gift for an upcoming cruise, so I didn’t want to send them back for fear of having to pay again outside the flash sale pricing. So I figured “oh well.” These were very functional while running through the airport during a snow storm with canceled flights. At 6 mo pregnant, these were easy for me to roll and move and haul as needed. My husband would take the bulk of the bags to help and the 4 wheels were perfect to help that. After some car renting/shuffling, running through airports and finally making the cruise almost a day late (thank you snow storm of the year), these held up pretty well. Just before we go on board as my husband was loading the bigger bag onto the scanner belt, the handle broke clean off (see picture). While it didn’t impede the luggage itself, it did get pretty annoying when having to move the luggage and fly home. We did fly home with some breakables (rum and wine) and they held up with some extra soft wrapping in the larger two totes just fine. Along with plenty of extra room. The locks provided worked great until we got home. When one didn’t want to work regardless of attempts (yes, I remembered the code). So we broke the lock in order to unpack. I’d buy again, but only for the sale price. The typically listed $300+ price point wouldn’t be worth it to keep the wrong color and breaking handles.

Nice luggage

I am had a Bob Mackey set of luggage I received from my formal job. My teenage son is starting to travel, so I gave the set to him and during the Prime Day Sale, I purchased this set for myself. The color of the set is what you see in the advertisement. I have not had a chance to use it as of yet, but when I do I will give an update but so far it moves around nicely and the material feels and look durable.

Nice for the price.

So far it seems good, I like it. I have not traveled with it yet, so if I find it warrants five stars I will change my review. I believe there were a few fake reviews here, so I'm not sure if all seven of them are. I bought this set because it was on sale. I got it for my son. My impression thus far is that the silver, with the black trim is quite masculine looking. I compared it to a Samsonite set I bought this year for myself. Samsonite: mesh zippered compartments instead of solid. This is better because you can see what is there. Rockland: solid zippered compartment, only one way Samsonite has slightly less play in the handle. I am concerned about the Rockland in this regard. They both spin well. It is nice looking and the weight is the same as the Samsonite. Time will tell if it will hold up.

Wow! So glad we ordered these. Impressive

(I received no kind of payment from the seller for the following review). We ordered and recieved our luggage just as promised, in the timely manner the seller stated, 2 days. We almost didn't order these because we were afraid that, because of the low price, they would be flimsy and cheaply made. I am so glad we ordered! We chose the matte black set, and upon opening them, we were very impressed by their appearance, the sturdiness of them, and overall features, when compared to luggage sets costing 3 times as much. Each piece is equipped with an extendable handle and effortlessly fluid operating wheels for ease of transport. Make no mistake, these hold A LOT, but are compact enough to save space. I just wish the set had been equipped with expandable side zippers, but it's really not needed since all hold so much. All 3 have an interior pocket, inside of which a sleek luggage lock for each piece is included. If you want a good looking hardshell luggage set at a economical price, then we highly recommend this set. You won't be disappointed.

Worked out for me

I loved the set and the color. I’ve had mine for sometime now I use it to travel often. I don’t like that the zippers do break easily. And that my wheel has come off and there aren’t replacement wheels available.

Deceptive Advertising

I bought this for a relative and part of why I chose this set in particular was because of the 5 year warranty. However, when I recently contacted the seller to inquire regarding the warranty I was told it was only valid within the USA which is stated no where in the advertisement.

Two flights in ...

I bought 3 sets of these, 2 sets were gifts. It is very light weight, easy to use and roll but my own personal set had an issue. My largest suitcase had a good sized crack after my second flight , this was a simple one way short domestic flight, no connections, so it was not like it had been transferred many times... the suitcase weighed in at 43 lbs for checked baggage , nothing sharp inside , and after a short domestic flight I discovered a solid 2 inch crack. I am trying to figure out a way to fix it, I switched to the 2 smaller cases in the flights since. The other cases seem fine and I have not had any feedback on damage from the gift recipients ... I am a little disappointed. The plastic allows it to be light but not necessarily rugged ...

Bonus features

As advertised. I was underweight at the airport even though I packed for 3 in only the one set. Everything held in the suitcases for a whole 7 days stay at a tropical destination. I love how I could use both sides of the suitcases differently. One side allowed me to belt in my clothes. The other side allowed me to zip things up for added security and privacy. Each one comes with a zippered pocket for small things and a self programmable lock. The design and colour made it easily identifiable at baggage claim. It stands out and is stylish. The spinner wheels are awesome. This was a great find.

There should be a ZERO star available for this product ...

There should be a ZERO star available for this product. Bought the luggage and as soon as I packed them for the airport, the zipper broke on the 2 largest sizes. With no time to get another, it's duct tape at check in and hence I can't even get to return for my money. Only 2 days old. DON'T NOT BUY.

poor quality!!! zippers broke before trip even started

Please do not buy this luggages. It is a terrible product. The material is so cheap. Two zippers broke at the airport while checking in for our trip. There was nothing we could do at that point except pray that the luggage did not fully open during the flight. The only reason we bought luggages on amazon was because we have a new born baby at home and had no time to go out and buy them at the store.
