Beautiful, Well-Made, Nicelt-Designed Statues All Can Afford.

We've been working on the home for years, and we finally made it outside. Landscaping, drainage, irrigation, double pergolas, nice greenhouse, outdoor furniture, beds and plants... the works front, back and ends. Lawn seeded, grass beginning to fill in, and lots of perennials and annuals. Watching them grow. This little guy sits atop a retaining wall, trying to land that trout, or is it a catfish? I just didn't notice, but standing one stone higher, his sister (Basking in God's Glory) stands up on the bank arms spread wide with birds perched on her outstretched limbs. Nicely detailed - the girl has a particularly sweet face - and tells a story to the viewer. I ordered these as garden gifts for my wife after already receiving a Design Toscano Virgin Mary with two angels, almost twice the size of these boy/girls models and they looked so nice, I decided to order these two smaller ones for another spot. They are smaller, but just as nice, and fit the spot. Adds a touch of class to the garden, which deserves it, as it has its own, too. Now, the one thing no one ever mentions is that you should prepare to spray the bird-poop off with a garden hose, or set your irrigation system to splash their heads, because that is where the birds like to perch. Or you can just wait for rain. Virgin Mary, our tallest at about 30 inches, iirc, gets it on the head daily. I'm just waiting to see the little girl, with her head and shoulders tilted back, eyes upturned toward the sky and glorying in the day, catch a face-full. I know it's coming.

Very lightweight.

This statue is so cute but hollow inside so it blew over on a windy day and the head broke off. I added about 2 lbs of sand to the inside before I glued the head back on and now it is much sturdier.

Very nice

Really cute. I placed mine on a flat rock around my pond. It is adorable and looks great. My only critique is that it is very light, giving me concern that the winds from a storm or an animal can cause it to fall, which could potentially brake it. I tied fishing wire around the statue and weighted it.

GREAT ADDITION TO MY POND!

I received my item earlier than expected. I’m very well pleased with the way Amazon shipped my item out. My item was packaged very well in Styrofoam and was in the box very tight and did not move around at all. I’m extremely happy with the condition that the statue was in. It was totally flawless no damage whatsoever. The little boy has so much detailing along with the fish hanging from the pole. This is a must-have for any one that has a pond. I did use a nice size amount of plumbers putty to fasten him down. I put it on the seat of his bottom and Press down on the rock so he would not fall In. I didn’t want this little guy ending up falling in the pond. I have ducks from time to time that come and pay a visit. I’m extremely happy with this item. It’s an awesome addition to my pond. ????

Great quality

It is a great addition to our pond. We have joked about that there is no fishing allowed in our pond but when my father in law found out we had fish he wants to bring his fishing pole over and see what he can catch. Lol And an added bonus is the fisherman’s name is Freddie and that happens to be my father in law’s name too.

Need to adjust balance where ever you place it.

Not bad for the money,Easy to move around,You need to correct his balance though,He seems to be a bit top heavy,I placed him on my nature pond,And had to put a few pebbles under his legs to stop him falling into it.One negative is the bit of dowel he has for a rod,It looks out of place,I had a bit of grey paint,So i painted it,Much better.

Perfect little fisherboy ornament

Absolutely love this little fisherboy! I bought this as a Birthday gift for my boyfriend who was really delighted with it. Excellent quality and just adorable. He made a little pond for him as you can see by the photo. It arrived extremely well packaged. A charming addition to the garden.

In remeebrance of my little fisherman

I got this in remembrance of my beautiful boy who loved fishing... This was the last living memory I have of him!. Sadly he passed from a Heart condition; As I sat Frederick next my son's photographs, amongst the angels and plants... the little fish on the pole swung around and around! Many heartfelt thanks!

Just stunning

Absolutely beautiful. It's heavy and beautifully made. I bought it for a gift and it was admired by everyone who seen it. My brother has it on display inside. I would highly recommend buying, you will not be disappointed. It comes well packaged so no worries about it in the post.

Great artistic design - Poor quality control and terrible practical design.

Whilst I do very much like the artistic design of this statue I feel it is badly let down by poor quality control (see picture) and product design. If placed overhanging a flat surface it will simply fall forward as it can not support it's own weight when displayed as intended - and this is before the rod is even inserted which just adds more weight to pull him over. I had noted this issue in other customers' reviews and was prepared to alter the product myself to make it fit for purpose, however, due to the missing paintwork on the hat I will have to return it. Particularly annoying as it was intended as a gift to be given soon after purchase.
