Seems bigger than usual

I’ve gotten these before for both my son (youth L and XL) and husband (adult M). My son had outgrown his so I sized up to an Adult S for him. They seemed like a big jump in sizing but he was fine with them being a little baggy and I figured it was ok for room to grow into. But then I held them up to my husbands Adult M and these Adult S were about the same in the waistband and slightly wider thru the body. Not sure if this pair was mislabeled or they fit differently now. Maybe order your size and a size down to find a better fit.

Good, lightweight, not worth retail price

These fit well and have nice little touches that put them slightly above cheap-o shorts -- rubberized ends on the drawstring, hemming around the pocket edges, quality zipper on the back pocket. However, I wouldn't buy them for anywhere near the ~$50 retail price. I bought the black striped ones for a little over $30, they're not worth any more than that IMO. Decent shorts though -- lightweight, good for hanging out and being casual.

Love these -- live in these

I need to get more. I bought a pair - in a surfer shop in Malibu -- and liked them so much - I went back to get another pair - and they were out --- So I bought two pair online -- and will buy more. Soft - thick -- with a string that actually works - and doesn't burrow back into the loop like a snake and disappear. Deep pockets - that actually hold things --- a wallet, you car keys - whatever I will be wearing a pair of these - as my go-to attire - until they fit me for diapers in the rest home.

Five Star shorts all the way around

My son has several of these shorts and wears them on a daily. Perfect length, light weight, good for a run, bike ride, hike and gym.

Great fit and quality.

I have 3 teenage boys and I bought one for each of them. They practically live in them. Super comfortable and breathable material. They were such a hit, I had to get them a second pair AND one for my husband!!!

only brand my son will wear

these are the only shorts my son will wear. He says they are very comfortable and light weight.

Ill fitting

Ordered other shorts from RVCA in the size large that fit great however, these run small in the crotch and leg region, would recommend buying a size up.

great workout shorts

These are by far the best athletic shorts at this price level. My drawer is full of Lululemon and Nike shorts and I always reach for these RVCAs first (which I’ve now bought in 4 colors). I wear a size large in all athletic shirt brands and these fit great.

A medium fits my fat ass

I bought these for pjs and honestly they are amazing. Yes they’re thin but for what I use them for I give five stars.
