warehouse ruined frame with sticky masking tape

warehouse slapped to pieces of sticky tape on frame & face of clock almost impossible to get off clock runs but frame looks bad no reason for the tape was not holding anything

Nice clock -- beware of a second hand that falls off during shipment

As others have said - this is a nice clock. Its design fits well into transitional or contemporary decor. Even though the face is plastic, that does not detract from the overall look and fell of the product. We had to get a replacement for the first clock delivery because the second hand had become disconnected and was floating around inside the case. There is no obvious way to fix this problem, and others have had the same issue. Loose attachment of the second hand therefore appears to be a design flaw but I assume all will be well when the clock is on a wall and not rattling around in a shipping box. Amazon service was excellent and the replacement clock showed up in a few days.

Didn't survive the shipping

Today I got my second clock. Like the first one I bought, it came with the second hand off the spindle free-floating under the glass. It's like Amazon send me back the same clock I returned to them. Apparently this clock can't survive the handling and shipping. Too bad. It looks real nice.

Accurate to the second!

I've had this clock for about 10 years now and couldn't be happier. The case body is made of brushed aluminum and has a real glass panel. The markings (numbers) are clear to read and the straight black hands are concise with a very bright orange second hand thanks to its white dial background. I am very picky when it comes to clocks, especially with the mechanism that drives them. That said, my handsome Bai wall clock is fitted with a Youngtown 12888 movement which I am very familiar with. It is just your everyday simple clock mechanism, nothing fancy really, but the fact is it is a really accurate movement. For the past ten years of owning this clock it hasn't lost a single second, zilch! I set the second hand always starting at the 12 position so that every minute lands precisely on the mark. As such, the clock has ran on consistently and accurately throughout the years and sync perfectly with my cable box and smartphones, which are set automatically and/or atomically. Amazingly after all these years it is still very quiet and accurate to the second! Note: Many mechanism manufacturers suggests Carbon Zinc batteries but I only use Sanyo (now Panasonic) Eneloop AA rechargeable and changes them out in between every DST season.

beautiful clock if it kept proper time

Very nicely and simply designed clock that looks great. But it runs about 5 minutes slow per week. Isn't that a lot for a quartz mechanism? Maybe i should hang it on the wall, skip the battery, and admire its looks.

Great design, but......

First, let me say that I love this clock. The size, design, quiet operation are all great. HOWEVER, the lens is made of PLASTIC, not glass. I notified Amazon of this and they were great and gave me a 40% credit on the price. The item description has not been changed though. When I contacted the manufacturer they swore the lens was made of glass. I grind lenses for a living and the lens is made of cheap cr-39 plastic. I would still recommend this clock and I think the price is fair. I just wish the item description were accurate.
