better quality than expected, color different than pic, STRONG CHEMICAL ODOR
I love this backpack. granted, I only had it for 3 days now, and so far I can already say what I like and don't like. first off, I was a little disappointed that the olive drab is actually more of a dark army forest green. the backpack IS the one pictured, but the one in the picture is way lighter in color. hopefully it fades over time. my other gripe is that they seem to have overdone whatever chemicals it has been treated with. (waterproofing maybe?) the chemical odor is so strong it stings my eyes just from opening it. I noticed a horrible chemical taste in my mouth and finally i realised it's from the lip of my water bottle rubbing up against the side of the backpack. I've been stuck in a cycle of trying to wash the taste out of my mouth with the same water bottle that keeps adding more chemical taste. anyways.. just something to be aware of. my whole room smells like chemicals from this bag. all that being said, those are "issues" that will probably be resolved through age. also, maybe you don't care but I did have to trim some of the straps and burn the edges. still better to be too long than too short. on a positive note, the materials are way more rugged and heavy duty than I expected. the inside of the pockets are lined with some kind of rubber that should be extremely water resistant. and it accepts my camelbak perfectly. keep in mind it doesn't come with a water bladder, I already had my own. so far I think this bag is awesome. I saw a video on YouTube where the straps support 300lbs. the quality of this bag is very apparent. if you don't mind some chemical odor then you won't be disappointed in this bag.

Either quality control is not that good, or this is just not a good bag in general. (Did not last me for over two months.)
I'm person that is out almost all day for multiple days of the week. I also fly once a month for 1,000+ mile trips. My take away from this bag: Do not bother with it. This backpack has caused me more annoyances, and in many reasonable ways, has made me consider returning it. I absolutely hate it, and this is coming from someone that tries to get things to work if I can. This bag is not meant for rigid goods. The bag lacks the ability to expand, which makes it a pretty bad candidate for a bag that is considered a day pack. Containers, cases, you name it, it will not properly fit in this bag without having to jury rig the bag with multiple things tethered to the MOLLE/PABS webbing. There are a few flaws in this pack that I've noticed: The zippers are of the same quality as a Jansport bag. They easily get misguided and open up in places that the zipper has gone over. They snag up easily, and are just of very, very poor quality. Secondly: the "weather" lining in the bag has been shedding off all over the inside of the bag. If you are unfamiliar with what I'm talking about, it seems that Red Rock put a plastic or PVC lining in the inner part of the bag to make the bag, in some ways, lightly rain proof, but it is completely useless. I got caught out in medium to heavy rain for a few minutes, and it proved to be useless. Third: The water bottle slots cause tension on the pack near the zippers and makes it very hard to close if you have a remotely full pack. Obviously, being supplied with poor zippers, this type of thing easily causes annoyance. In order to get around this, you have to undo the drawstring. Fourth, there is a hole developing in the bottom right side of the pack. From my purchasing date of this pack, to the day of this review, I have only had this bag for an excess of around a month and 10/11 days. I have taken it on a total of two hikes, and though it proved adequate to carry me through for a few hours, it has definitely not proved its claims as a tough or "bug out" bag. If a company mentions that their bag is a "bug out" bag, you should be able to take it and have it be reliable for longer than a month and a few days. Apart from the multi hour hikes, I packed this bag fairly light, and I commuted with it a small amount, and from what I've taken away, this bag is not capable of serving you for a long amount of time. I'm disappointed. I had expectations that were completely out of line, and on top of that, the bag started deteriorating right after the Amazon/Seller 30 day warranty. I understand that this is one of the lower reviews of the may higher rated ones, but I suggest you take this review as a precaution.

Sturdy well designed backpack
Sturdy well designed backpack. I use this backpack as an Emergency Evac bag (or a Bug Out Bag) as well as camping. Having a large compartment with two separate zippers on the inside, which I use to store things that I don't want to get wet, like a note pad and pens. I also store some clothing (jeans, long sleeve shirt, 1 pair of socks, and underwear) as well as some food, with room to spare, I soon will add purification options in the large compartment. (I did not put the water bladder in the pack even though its compatible to do so, I have plenty of space for 3 water containers on the outer side of the pack) In the second compartment I keep fire equipment (candles, matches, magnesium fire starter, zipo lighter, zipo fuel, as well as spair wick and flint, and some dry fire tinder -tissues). I also keep a small med kit, compass, 2 flashlights, binoculars, watch, and a few pens. In the last pocket I put a small fishing kit, wiring, sewing kit Lastly on the outside in the webbing I placed some scissors, a pocket knife, and some carabiners. I well be adding more stuff to this pack as I get it, I still have plenty of space to do so. I will also be getting some pack to place to the side on the webbing so I can have more storage. It looks small compared to other pack but surprising on how much you can actually fit inside of it The only thing I don't like to much is how thick the pack get even with the compression strap, but overall a good pack

Well worth the money.
Great pack, a little smaller than I expected.

Great bag
Since purchased, we've been using it as a diaper/baby kit bag. Lots of room for everything. One of the straps finally seperated at the attachment point, probably from carrying it on that side. Great bag overall

Great quality, but it's small.
Like all Red Rock gear, this is very well made - rugged, double stitched where it is needed, strong material. But it is small - it would serve as an EDC for small items, but if you want haul around anything substantive, like a laptop with some files, etc, this is probably too small.

Nice pack
Nice pack. Actually bigger than I expected after reading the posted reviews. Very much an EDC sized pack rather than a multi day sized bag. Also not going to be big enough for a school/book bag and I doubt it would fit a large sized lap top. Nice features. Nice quality for the price I paid ($29 Cdn). I like the double water bottle holders. Would recommend.
