Durable but heavy! Hard to swing with speed. I swing the bat as an exercise. I’m over 60 and it’s a challenge to swing hard and fast.

Great defense bat

I brought this bat for self defense in case someone every breaks into our house and I have to protect my family and I am 100% satisfied that it would do some serious damage if I never needed to use it. I didn’t want a gun because of all the possible negative results…but this definitely does the trick.

Ask yourself this before you buy...

It's a great product and can hold up to impact much better than wood or aluminium bats. I chose this particular model because it's about the right length to use one-handed. However, it is much heavier than wood or aluminium. While the description says it weighs about a pound a half, most of it is at the end of the stick which means considerable torque. If you can handle this weight at the end of a mostly top heavy stick, then this is for you. If not, go for the smaller one.

Nice, but too heavy

I bought this for those nights when I want to check out a weird noise in the house. I have a 9mm with hollow points, which is great, but I'm not sure I trust the hollow points not to find a neighbor, or worse yet, one of my kids. This is nice, and certainly plenty weighty. I can't imagine being able to ever break it. But if you hit someone with this it would be like hitting them with a sledgehammer. You'd be as likely to kill them as anything else. Sure, that's great, if that's what you want (although a bit psychopathic), but the real problem is speed. I studied a few martial arts that depend heavily on speed and changing direction quickly, which you'll never be able to do with this (and yes, I lift). Not that it isn't completely useful and effective, just not quite what I was looking for.

Great heavyweight slugger

I've got a wooden baseball bat, which is great, but quite light. This thing is altogether more robust. It's heavy (though not so heavy that a fully grown man can't swing away quite easily) and you can tell that when it connects with something it's going to wallop it into next Tuesday. Very solid. Love it.

Good stuff

Took some time for them to restock it but once they did I had it with me in two days. Feels amazing and it’s quite heavy knowing it’s plastic. It feels extremely sturdy and it doesn’t look like it would break at all. I’d definitely recommend it.
