Order up at least a size and a half . . .

My son wanted a pair of green shoes like Oscar on the "Odd Squad" PBS show. As he grows out of his shoes every six months or so, we decided to get something a LITTLE bigger than what he is currently wearing. We got our best option on the the third attempt. I ordered the first pair a half size bigger than the shoes he's wearing now and they were about a full size size smaller than what I was expecting. I returned that first pair and reordered a pair a full size larger than the ones he's wearing (I thought the first pair might have been a fluke and smaller than "normal") .When they came they were just about the same size he was wearing but "a little tight" according to my son. SO, those went back too and I went with what I think should be two sizes bigger than what he is wearing now. They are just a little big for him but that's what I was going for. The last pair I purchased was "1 M US Little Kid" and he typically wears a 12 in kids size. Truth be told I don't really understand the children's shoe sizes . . . 5 thru 10 toddler, then 10.5 thru 13.5 little kid then it "jumps" to 1 thru 3 little kid and finally 3.5 thru 7 big kid? The bottom line, a full size bigger than his current size was a little tight so we went with two full sizes bigger to get a shoe that fits "a little big". He just got them so I can't say much about durability. The colors available are great and he loves the green. The price was reasonable for a pair of shoes my son will wear for about six months before he grows out of them. I marked down a star only because of the sizing issues.

Excellent kids shoe for active kids

My kids plow through shoes all the time. They are so rough and tough on their shoes with running around and all the activity. I found traditional tennis shoes like Nike's were wearing out too fast and for the price I found the investment was NOT worth it. I also found Nike has the softest tread in the market so I will no longer be buying that brand. I love the DC brand as these shoes can take a beating and the tread and body of the shoes are durable and last! My kids love them and talk about how comfy and easy to wear they are, we are DC shoe lovers for life.

Nice, but narrow

These shoes are really nice, seem quality and look exactly like the photos. My son was SO excited about them! Unfortunately, they are very narrow. He has somewhat wide feet, but somehow Vans work. We really wanted these to, he loves skating and I know DC shoes serve their purpose for such activities. If your children have wide feet, these will likely be too narrow for them. I did read that their other styles of shoes are great for all, so we will try those.

good style, tight fit.

so, my daughter loves these shoes, but they were very tight on her. in most of her shoes, a 12 has a bunch of wiggle room, but i could barely get these on her, and she complained before she even stood up. what's odd, is i bought her the court graffik shoes (also by DC) in the same size 12, and just like all her other shoes, she had tons of room. we wound up ordering a 12.5 in the trase, and while they fit, i can tell they will only fit for a short time as they were fairly snug....length was ok, but they are considerable tight around the foot pad area... if you can find a size that fits your kids feet, they are nice shoes...

shoes are super cute, but they were really small

shoes are super cute, but they were really small. Im exchanging them for larger size. hoping the next size up fits her. She tried them on and said they were painfully tight on her feet. She has been wearing a size 13 but she has out grown that size so I thought a size 1 would fit her. ( also ordered a pair of FILA shoes in size one and they fit her great with a little bit of growing room) Her toes were all the way to the very end of the shoe and basically smushed into the shoe. order size up. UPDATE: We got the new shoes, but she still has complained that they hurt her feet so she does not wear them.

Great shoes, my kid loves them.

My kid loves these shoes. They haven't lasted very long, but any parent who has a skateboarder knows that skateboarding limits the life of shins, shoes, and laces. He skateboards 3-8 hours per day during the summer, so these poor shoes have taken a beaten. We've replaced the laces, but will absolutely get a new pair of this same kind as soon as these ones are done. They've been on his feet everyday since we bought them in April or May.

****Update***** Here we are almost 4 months later and my son says they are too tight and small. His toe is not about to break free so we do not know the true uncomfort he feels but he does not like these anymore. We had purchased Etnies and Adidas too around this time frame from Amazon. I knew DCs ran small so just be careful. I guess these never broke in and remained tight . But I still order dcs off of Amazon to this day. (It's the luck of the draw) ****************** Before school started we went all over the mall looking for shoes (that how I know my 6 yr olds current shoe size) and I just was not satisfied. After coming home and being loyal to Amazon.. I found these. They are GREAT! They are a good brand so, they will hold up over the test of time. Clean looking and solid. The fact that they delivered to my front door too was awesome! But DCs run a bit narrow so he had to 'break them in' the first few days. Now, I don't hear a peep out of him and he even wears them on gym day.

Great shoes great service order full size bigger

The shoes fit great. I am happy I read reviews . I ordered a half size up at first placed order than read reviews of how small they come . Yes they run small. Get a full size bigger than regular size . I had already place my order than read review I sent an email to change size they were nice about it changed size right away didn't affect delivery I was very happy

la guia de tallas es erronea

pedi el numero 6 big kid que segun la guia de tallas es de 24 cm, pero cuando llego el pedido en el tenis decia 6Y (young) 25 centimetros obviamente eran grandes,para referencia,6 big kid = 6Y =25 cm , 5 big kid = 5Y =24 cm, 4 big kid = 4Y =24 cm y asi sucesivamente

La talla no es la que pone en la zapatillas es mas pequeña es un 30 pero en realidad es un 28 o menos
