GREAT PRODUCT but How do i use it as a STEAMER?
I love this product but did not realize It did not come with a steamer. Im trying to figure out how I can use it to steam but the rice is FANTASTIC. My mom uses it to warm up soup, so she loves it too!

The best small simple rice cooker for a single person or couple.
I'm Asian American, and my family has been using Panasonic rice cookers since as far back as I can remember. The SR3-NAL is the perfect size for me, living alone. I actually own two of them, one for home, and one for the office. As with all rice cookers, its capacity is stated based on the Japanese gō, a 180 mL equivalent measuring cup that is the standard service size. So, this "1.5 cup" rice cooker is designed to make up to 270 mL of uncooked rice in a single batch, but I find that for middle-aged me, 120 mL is a more reasonable serving size, so I can get two full servings if I make 240 mL rice. I normally use Japanese "Japonica" medium grain rice, because I got tired of stocking so many different kinds of rice in my house (long grain, medium grain, Jasmine, Basmati, etc, etc). I have heard this model is very popular with Japanese flight crews, since it can fit easily in a suitcase and be used to make fresh rice when overnighting overseas in places where Japanese food might not be easily available. Perhaps someday, I will invest in a fuzzy logic rice cooker, but the simplicity and much lower cost of the basic type of rice cooker is very appealing, and has been used successfully by Asian families since it was invented in the mid-1950s.

It does what its suppose to do
Wish there was a hole to vent the top like in the last rice cooker made by this brand. Also found the same rice cooker at my local store for half the price of this one so be sure to buy local when u can. Occasionally it burns the rice at the bottom of the pot a bit so be sure to stir when it shuts off. I try to remove it when its finished cookin and like that i dont have to keep a constant eye on it.

This is the one that will last the test of time
After 500 dollar micom, ih rice cookers that are overcomplicated we have switched to a basic model. This 3 cup unit is positively tiny but perfect for 2-3 people who eat rice as a side dish. It would probably only serve two people who ate rice as the primary dish as its quite small. We enjoy how easy it is to clean compared to complicated units where you can never clean all the ports or lid areas. One button on and off is easy and the rice quality is good but not exceptional. Being so tiny its unoffensive on the counter or tucked in a cupboard

Rice Cooker
My old panasonic rice cooker was good for 3 half the size of cups of the new cooker. The sale Ad did not give the size of the cups. Therefore I ended with double the size of the cooker I was looking for. New cooker is working fine.
