Hold rod on the wall pretty good.
The first time I mounted it, it eventually pulled away from the wall. Remounted it in the same spot with some serious wall anchors, it is doing nicely.

Works better for bigger poles
This works great for bigger poles, but the smaller poles used by kids seem too thin at the top and keep coming out of the rubber grooves.

Good value for the money, but made in China so don't expect great quality.
Works fine for my fishing poles, so I'm happy with that.

Not bad
Use better dry wall fixings and screws the ones provided aren't very good. Other than that it's goods looking and pretty sturdy

"Old Cedar" is a lie. This is MDF
The reviews of this product that I read before purchasing seemed to more positive than negative, so I went ahead and bought this rod holder. I made the mistake of thinking that its description as "wood" and the words "old cedar" in the branding led me to believe it was actually made from cedar, which it is not. It is MDF. The plastic slide that traverses its length fell out after the two staples that hold it in, gave way, so there's that ... and there are very poorly-written instructions for lining up the bottom bracket and the top bracket. I would steer clear of this item if I had to do it again.

Not bad, but materials could be much better.
Not at all satisfied with the wood. It is simply laminated pressboard. It functions, but the sides should also be finished/laminated. It mounts fairly well, but I did replace the screws with longer screws. 3 out of 5 stars is about right. I wouldn't recommend.

Not the best option out there. Keep looking.
I had high hopes for this. Seemed like a reasonable attractive, inexpensive yet simple rack. It falls short of the picture and description. First, I received the rack was slightly damaged. There was a chip on the bottom rack near one of the drill outs for the rod handles. This was obviously a manufacturing defect as it was packaged just fine and it was likely caused when they drilled the hole. I also discovered that this was pressed wood, not a nice 'oak' rack as expected. Nevertheless, it is going in a garage and the price wasn't excessive so I decided to just plug ahead. After installing the top rack, I discovered one of the keyhole slots on the back of the top rack was loose -- the tiny screws that hold it into place were stripped and I was unable to secure it tighter. This causes the top to be less than secure against the wall. I'm not a big fan of the keyhole slots for mounting as it is -- they require great precision when placing in the wall. If you are off by 1/8 inch, all bets are off. Even when you are dead on, it's a pain to slide both screws into the slots at the same time. I would much rather they had drilled holes 16 inches apart and provided plugs to go over them. So again, as a result of design and poor manufacturing, the top is a bit wobbly. This problem is compounded in that the rubber rod holders are inconsistent in their grip. Some of them are impossible to separate, others are so loose that they barely hold the rod. Combine the wobbly top with the very tight ones and when you pull a rod out, it takes an effort -- gotta' hold the top rack against the wall while trying to create a small gap in the holder to free the rod. As the final nail in the coffin, the bottom slots for the rods are a bit too close. This one isn't a deal breaker and apparently it's common with all the holders I viewed but it's just one more annoyance. Given that I only paid 15 bucks for this, it isn't worth the effort to take it down, package it back up and return it. I'll write this one up to a lesson learned. I think I will replace it with one I make on my own. The trick is finding those little rubber grips for the top...

Arrived on time and fits rods with reels. A little bit to large of hole for the ultra light rods.
