This isn’t a reflection on the Nanit camera which I actually really love. The camera and general system is fantastic, but I just don’t like the style of these sleep sacks. The u-shape around the neck is loose and while it’s not long enough to obstruct her airways, neither her or I liked loose fabric being near her mouth. We much prefer the Aden and anais swaddle that was more like a traditional swaddle w the V shape and is tucked down if that makes sense. Also, it has a two way zipper but there was no cover for the zipper by her face. Most things w two way zippers (like her onesies) have a little snap or fabric to keep the zipper from poking her. This one just hangs out freely. Lastly, the only part that “hugs” her is the band w the checkers. And that did *nothing* to keep her little arms tucked in. It’s not elastic or that secure. So I ended up w a couple false breathing alarms bc she wiggled her arms out. Imma be honest, overall this swaddle just sucks. I really wish they had more styles for newborns bc I couldn’t even use the breathing monitor between false alarms and her just not liking it. And this system ain’t cheap! Only positive was it’s nice thick material.

Parents - BUY THESE!
We LOVE these swaddles! Such piece of mind! Our baby didn’t really like the band, but these swaddles are a breeze. They’re easy on/easy off, roomy for her legs and the monitor connects to them well. I’d recommend them over and over. Do yourself a favor and just get the 3 pack, too. One to wash, one to wear. Unless you’re super mom and do laundry daily ;)

Sad to grow out of these
Little one sleeps so well in these, I find them to be a little longer than other swaddles of a similar design which is good for a tall baby. No issues with false alarms on our nanit camera; I love the peace of mind knowing he is breathing while we are not in the same room. We are currently transitioning to the breathing band now that our baby is almost rolling. Excited to save these for the next baby

Needs a lot of work
Nanit technology has high potential to keeping parents at ease. These swaddles are not made like any other one piece swaddle on the market. This swaddle can ride up to the babies face or higher causing a huge problem. It doesn’t have wings under the armpit to keep it in place. I’m sad to put these in the drawer and never use them. We will wait until we can use the chest band.

Eh okay…
I’m really the material it’s made from, the Velcro is strong, no baby could get out of it but needs a better design. Hard to get babies arms down and zip up at the same time.

Really small
The technology is nice but we Got the 0-3 month size and it is so small. It is the size of all of our newborn clothing which is compared in the photo. There is no way a three month old could comfortably fit in it. Also the velcro sections became warped and won’t stick anymore. Returned for the 3-6 month size.

Not a big fan but not much choice if wanting to swaddle and use Nanit breathing sensor
We bought these as we wanted to swaddle our newborn and use the breathing monitor feature on our Nanit camera. Not sure if it’s just our baby but she doesn’t like being swaddled in this way and the process of putting on the swaddle (and making it tight enough) always wakes her which frustratingly starts over the whole routine of trying to get her to go back to sleep. Holding baby over the shoulder (her preferred position) in the swaddle is also tricky, as the band tends to ride up, and we were very conscious of the band potentially covering her mouth and nose. We had frequent false alarms on the nanit monitor because the swaddle wasn’t tight enough. Changing baby in the swaddle is possible as the zip is two-way, so simple enough to open the bottom end only, however depending on baby’s size, the stiffer breathing band part may be quite far down baby’s body to get new nappy high enough on their belly. Something to bear in mind with newborns. Velcro is very hard to undo without waking baby, so another thing which was frustrating if wanting to reposition the swaddle for any reason. On the whole we are glad we could monitor baby’s breathing with the nanit whilst swaddling her at the same time- swaddling in the early stages prevented her from startling herself and waking herself up regularly in the night- but unfortunately did not find this particularly practical. Sadly there is not much more choice when it comes to using the nanit monitor.. we moved baby on to the breathing band as soon as possible (4-5weeks of age) because it is much easier to take on and off and won’t ride up to her face. Also noticed less false alarms compared with the swaddle.

Yesss
I got mine two days ago and wow. My baby is 7 days old and she loves them. Prior to getting them I had to swaddle her so tight in two layers to keep her sung and warm. Even tho she loved it and slept great I was not stoked with how tight and how immobilized she was. These came and she took to them right away. Her upper body 7.1lbs is super sung but she can still move her arms a bit. And her lower body has tones of room to move. Oh yeah breathing thingy is cool too.
