Bought this for a Moen hands free kitchen faucet
Our new Moen hands free kitchen faucet is battery operated. Although it’s not likely to happen, batteries do wear down and out. Could be an annoying hassle so we decided to buy this AC adaptor to cover our bases and have an always on, always hands free operation. Work well. Wish Moen had included it in their retail price. Thank to Amazon for offering it at a significantly lower price than retail,from the manufacturer. Recommended.

Love this!!
I love this adapter for or Moen sink. Our new sink was being installed during construction so the adapter was put in at this time. The censored sink is awesome for washing your hands without getting the faucet all dirty and with the adapter we don't use batteries.

So far so good!
I have a Moen Smart Faucet that I can speak to (eye roll!) or wave my hand across the sensor. It needs a power source to be able to do those “tricks” (eye roll again) and actually dispense water. The faucet comes with a battery source (which is great for backup, but If the electricity happens to go out during a power outage and I’m out of D batteries…no water. This was a breeze to install and now we’re good to go and no concern of any power outages.

Works perfect for Moen Cadia touchless Faucet
Working great for Moen faucet even uses the battery pack as a back of power goes out. The smart box let's you know when it's time to change the batteries.

Don’t depend on their awful battery pack to run your faucet
I bought this after my motion sensor faucet, 2 years old, stopped working before I was having 30 people over for a birthday brunch. Talk about nightmares. Moen at that time was easy to reach, sent a whole new faucet setup as the part they thought I needed was on back order. So free faucet, but had to pay a plumber to attach it. Worked 5 months and stopped again (can’t get any water, as it can’t be bypassed. Fortunately, as soon as it started having issues, I ordered this product on line and we have a plug under the sink, so will never have issues with the battery pack. However, battery pack was replaced again by Moen. Did NOT work! 3 bad battery pack,,, awful. Moen does supply them with their expensive sinks, it’s an extra cost. The sort answer. GET ONE!

We bit the bullet and purchased this for our Moen faucet
Update: it has been five months since we purchased this. So far, so good. It works perfectly and the batteries are still in place and not changed. It is nice to have this ac adapter. Dec 2020) Now here is the original review: It works well; it was super easy to install. It is nicely labeled so anyone could make the connections/plug in the cords. Without it, our batteries lasted 5 weeks of frequent use by two adults and two teens. After changing the batteries twice, we got this setup. I am sure everyone thinks Moen should have included this setup into any of their wifi faucet boxes. Also, I am sure everyone says "ouch" at the price of this power supply and tiny control box so you can see the lights to determine if AC current is in use, or if batteries are, or if batteries need replacing. I read reviews that say yes, the faucet works in a power outage or if batteries are dead-just use the faucet-and that is just not so. No power, no water period. If the batteries go down to 20% and you do not have this power supply, your faucet temporarily disconnects from your wifi and no, you have no water. So you absolutely 100% want this power supply so you are not using batteries 24/7 and only just when the power is out (think windstorm has knocked out the power lines). With this power supply, your batteries are a backup; they should last a long time. So this is a great product, it works, and I can recommend it. You simply have to have it or you will be swapping out your D cell batteries every month. I think the faucet battery pack is supposed to use "regular batteries" and not lithium batteries. The point is if you bite the bullet and buy this, it is easy to install and it works; you are off battery-changing protocol.

Totally necessary
And outrageous that it isn't included by Moen on a very expensive faucet. This isn't a service kit, this is the AC kit that should be standard but Moen makes a AA battery pack-based solution standard. So...when your batteries die as they will, no water for you!!! Go to store to get water!? Truly absurd cynicism and its priced to match that level of customer disdain too! 2 cheers

Will save you some batteries
First time I replaced the batteries on my faucet before installing this device I got about 9 months out of a set of batteries using Duracells. Then replaced them with a little less expensive brand of battery and they lasted about 2 months. I decided this device, which does not eliminate batteries, but uses them as a power failure backup and would save lots of batteries. It was moderately easy to install but you do have to move some wires around to do it. The only thing I’ve noticed is that I think the sensor is slightly less sensitive with the adapter. Meaning your hand has to be a little closer to the sensor to turn on the water. Other than that I think this was a good, but a little overpriced, battery replacement.

I have 2 moen faucets with motion sense in my kitchen which are very practical when your hands are dirty,but problem is they are taking each 8 D batteries ,it’s was costing me a fortune on batteries until I found this amazing adapter,I definitely recommend getting this with you have motion sense faucets ,super easy to install too
