AMAZING! Spark Plug removed without issue, US Made!
I've had average luck with easy outs in my lifetime. Spiral ones are junk and having one broke off in a head of a engine isn't going to cut it. In this case, a '13 Ford Escape 1.6l. Using the largest one in the pack, I tapped it into the broken plug hole fairly stern and went at it with a 11mm 12pt socket w/extension and 1/2 breaker bar. I soaked the plug threads with Aero Kroil for a few days hoping that would help also. The plug made me work the entire length of the threads but this easy-out took it like a champ. Once I removed it, you could really see how it dug into the inside hole. Don't remember seeing it mentioned but it has a nice tool pouch with it too, nicer than I would have guessed. This tool is worth ten times it's cost when you think of what it would be had I removed the head to make repairs. Makes me more than happy to write a review of an American made tool that exceeds my expectations.

Works well for broken spark plug removal!!
I thought I was in for a HUGE repair bill, but this tool saved the day!! First time changing plugs and wires in my wife's 2008 Chevy Equinox and learned the hard way that the number two spark plug was seized. I thought maybe it was just rusted, due to the condition of the others, but PB Blaster and heat just didn't help. I resorted to using an impact socket on a breaker bar and easily twisted the plug in half. That was NOT the plan. Decided to buy this fluted style tool instead of the twist style after viewing lots of videos of real mechanics removing broken plugs. As you can see by the photos, the tool worked well. Turns out that the plug had been installed with crud in the threads and wasn't cross threaded. After removal, I used a reverse thread chaser to clean up the threads and the new plug went in smooth as butter. The plugs are 14mm threads and I used the largest tool in this kit, along with a 7/16" socket on a breaker bar. I used a magnetic pickup tool periodically to remove metal shavings, and continued using the PB Blaster.

Five star rescuers for one star situations
I had to buy a set of these to replace my set that has gone missing - these became my favorite extractors of all I've ever had to #*%&@ use because they are tough and I think I've had a higher success rate with them compared to any of the spiral style in a few brands and the other two brands of square that I tried. Glad to see that these are still made in the USA and I hope the steel & tempering is the same as what I used to have. In my old set I did break the #3 and had to replace that one, but that was both user error with a hole that was off center and a bit crooked, and that stud probably should have been totally drilled out from the get go anyway. A couple of the others have taken quite a lot of torsion and neither broken nor set a twist in the extractor and that's what sold me on these Mayhews because I can't tell you how many others have snapped or splintered in similar situations, even brands that are "better" than the typical hardware store stuff. A coworker has a few of the Rennsteig/Knipex extractors and for many situations those look like the bee's knees and I may pick up some, but for now I decided to stick with tried and true.

Worth it's weight in gold
I had been told to get the square type easy out. These saved me a ton of time and money. I had a broken spark plug and it had left just the threaded sleeve in the head. I tried every out I had and couldn't get a bite on it. Ordered these and they arrived next day and I tapped one of them in and started. I had soaked these plugs before I started for 3 days with pb blaster and it still broke. So with the square out in I started trying to back it out and it was still stuck. I thought I was gonna break the out it was that tight but this bit didn't slip the first time. I finally worked it out and you can't tell I even used the square out. Well worth the money. Over and over

Great tool!
I loved that these were as tough as they are. Need to get a Frozen spark plug out of old Ford explorer. Twisted off the nut, all that was left was the metal sleeve and it took over 400f/lb of torque to break it loose. Tool hardly scratched afterwards. Quality hardened USA steel!

Durable as heck and exceeds expectations
Awesome product and the right tool for the job. Had 2 broken spark plugs in my 94 Dodge Ram 1500, and based off another reviewers picture of the same problem I bought the set, I hammered it into the broken threaded piece of the plug and put a 1/2” socket on the other end. I needed 3 feet of leverage pipe on the end of the ratchet, which started to bend slightly, and all the strength I could muster to turn it out. I expected the tool to be chewed up, but to my surprise their wasn’t a single roll or chip on the shar edges. And the tool didn’t twist at all. I give it 6 stars. It is now a valuable tool in my box. And it even comes in a nice heavy duty stitched cloth case.

Broken spark plug remover
One of my spark plugs was stuck and broke while trying to remove it, I ordered this kit to save me from taking it to a mechanic who would charge over a thousand $$ to remove the heads. I used the second largest one with a 3/8" socket but it would not grip and slip so I had to buy a 12 point deep socket and the help of a 2 foot pipe for leverage and eased it out slowly, I sprayed it with seafoam lubricant the night before. Now its time for 4 02 sensors

strong tool
I received these in 2 days and extracted the brass fitting from my backhoe engine block which had broken off in a hard to get at location. I hammered one of the extractors in and turned it with an adjustable wrench extended by a pipe. It took a lot of force but I got the fitting out and the tool didn't break which I was so worried would happen. All good. great tool.
