LED Light Strip looks great, just need improves into App
The hardware componets is awsome (LED Light Strip), but the sofware (TAPO App) has many things for improve, for example: - Manage same configuration for multiples objects instead 1 by 1 - Sync all your LED Light Strips (you have to config each one individually) - Music mode for multples LED Light Strip and not only 1 - More effects for customs

Can you cut and re-connect them... Yes.
The media could not be loaded. Overall, happy with the product. Easy to use, nice features, miles ahead of the non-smart ones I got at a big box store for the same price. When I was looking for light strips, I found it quite difficult to get information from reliable sources regarding spacing between cut-points, whether reconnection is possible after a cut, etc. Especially when it came to "smart" strips. The manufacturer states repeatedly than any bit cut off is no longer usable and should be discarded. Other reviews back this up (I'm assuming without much or any testing). I assume the manufacturer says this because they don't want to provide support to people who lack the skills or materials to do it properly. I broke my second set trying to bend it around a corner. I lost the final meter of the strip. I had already bought a bunch of different connectors from playing w/ the big box set, and had nothing to lose. I cut out the damaged section and reconnected the ends with a jumper harness. The lights still function and will perform scenes and effects past the break/repair. It is running the Aurora effect in the video and you can clearly see the the effect span the repair cable and continue down the strip. I used punch-down connectors, but the spring clip style or direct soldering should work just as well. If using the punch-down or springs, be sure to cut the strip so you have the entire copper pad. DO NOT cut in the middle of it like the decal shows. Center cut leaves both ends too short for the connectors I had to hold onto tight enough to keep a connection. Center cuts are fine for soldering if you know how to do it. Remove clear rubbery all-weather coating on top. Use a box cutter or razor and cut carefully down to, but into or through the actual white strip. This has to be peeled back and cleaned/picked off from all of the copper pads or the connection will be bad. Spacing between cut points is every 3 LEDs, just about 4" apart. Every fifth space is a solder joint, not a copper pad. Likely still usable as a reconnect point with solder. Spring-clamp style connectors would probably work as well, though I have not tested this yet.

One thing to note that I wish had been mentioned in the description: While this has two strands of lights, they are clones...both strands will show the exact same pattern. You CANNOT specify different colors for EACH strand of lights independently as of the writing of this review. Maybe TP-Link will fix this in a future firmware update, but that is the only thing I don't like about these lights right now. Beyond this current limitation with the dual strand version, these lights are great.

Good standalone, hard to integrate
The strip itself delivers on the promise - it's multicolor, it's flexible, it's remotely controlled. However, it only works best when you use the Tapo app and the features it supports. Google Home and IFTTT don't support the advanced use cases such as Effects (no Auroras, sorry). Also, IFTTT free account is limited to 1 action at a time i.e. to set color AND brightness you have to sign up for $3.99 per month Pro account. Forget about being able to program it to display sequences of colors, you can't even enter a HEX code in single color mode, you have to pick it.

These are great! Not a huge selection of preinstalled displays but the ones they do have are nice.

Extension / cannot fully extend
As expected it was great! Has decent app features and easy use. Instructions didn’t tell much other than how to apply it and the app, but I was mainly looking for it to be re-attached. I couldn’t tell if the LED was re-attachable on the box so I just cut and started putting connectors together. No it is Not Extendable but it has some faults like it can switch colors if it isn’t attached right but eventually joins the rest of the pattern color. Connectors work well with them as well, but it has a weak connection with everything else after the connected part which sucks. Just make sure to have the beginning of the strip connecting to the arrow on the cord adapter because once I was cutting that end part to experiment with I panicked when it wasn’t turning on. Lol.

Great Led lighting
This is a great strip light for many uses around the home to give different scenes to suit your mood or for parties. The choice of scenes is good as is the app for controlling the lights.

Does not work in series, only parallel!
Couldn't use it for the purpose I'd planned due to the requirement to wire in parallel. If it says 10m it should be able to provide a true 10m strip.

Muy buena opcion
Es muy buen producto, tiene una luz intensa y es muy sencillo de configurar. Me habria encantado que ambas tiras se pudieran configurar por separado (configuras una y la otra es un espejo) pero la verdad es que esta muy bien por el precio.

Ne vaut pas plus que 20$
Honnêtement j'ai été en mesure d'obtenir ce produit à 12$ (gros rabais ou erreur). Mais je me demande si je le retourne ou non. Si vous êtes habituer au ruban led RGB normal vous allez aimer ce produit mais vous trouverez aussi qu'il y a plusieurs limitation. Contre 1. Lorsqu'on utilise la fonction sync audio, celle-ci fonctionne UNIQUEMENT avec le micro de votre téléphone. Mais attention, il ne faut surtout pas que votre téléphone soit en veille "écran noir" car la fonction micro cesse de fonctionner. 2. Lorsque la fonction sync audio est utilisé, il n'est pas possible de choisir un schéma personnalisé. Donc la fonction utilise UNIQUEMENT 1 couleur à la fois. On se demande alors où est l'utilité d'avoir un kit de ruban led RGBIC s'il n'y a pas d'option pour personnaliser l'effet des lumières lors de l'écoute de musique. 3. L'application est TRÈS limitée pour les scènes prédéfinis. Il est possible de modifier les scènes prédéfinis mais seulement les couleurs. 4. Il n'est pas possible d'ajouter les 2 ruban led un derrière l'autre afin d'avoir 1 ruban de 10 mètres. Au lieu de cela les 2 ruban de 5 mètres débutent au même point, donc les effets sont "miroir" c'est à dire qu'ils font exactement la même chose. Pour 1. La densité d'éclairage est bonne. Vous pouvez obtenir bien mieux si vous regardez du côté des bande Govee.
