Thought it was steel

Be careful installing this plate. It looks good and the size was good for what I needed, but it cracked because I turned the screw one time too many. Can't see the crack from distance, but I know it's there, which haunts me every day (not really).

thermoplastic, NOT nylon

The plastic used in these plates is brittle, and will crack if the outlets are not lined up PERFECTLY. Next order will definitely be nylon.

Works as advertsied. It covers up the accidental miss coming through the wall that my normal sized gang plate did not.

The 2 gang receptacle was great! It was very bright white and matched the hard to find plate that I previously purchased.

Parts Missing from Package!

I can only give this product 2 out of 5 stars because parts were missing from the package. This was an 'Add On Item' and had a great price. The wall plate was in the package and good condition. Unfortunately, what is used to fasten the wall plate in place was missing (if I use the actual word 'scre...' is gets bleeped as profane! ha These were not in the package and not in the bottom of the box. With missing parts, I cannot give this product high marks.

Smaller than advertised.

The description for this item is not accurate. We only mail ordered because we needed something larger than the store offered. The listing said 6.2x5.2x.4. The item that was delivered is right under 5". Which is the size we were able to purchase for $1.15 at lowes. Not worth returning, but don't bother buying it if you need something larger than 5".
