Water pump rebuild kit for Mercruiser Alpha 1, Gen. 1
This was a perfect factory rebuild kit for the lower unit water pump in my Mercruiser 175 hp Alpha 1, Gen. 1. If you have never done this before, it would be a good idea to look in a service manual or on YouTube to see what it entails. The kit does not come with instructions, just the parts. If you are comfortable doing mechanical work, you can save money by doing this yourself.

perfect fit for 2 stroke outboard had several different gaskets as well, water is flowing out the back again! wasnt to hard to install took about an hour

Prefect oem replacement. You might not use everything.
Perfect oem replacement. Remember the kit fits multiple models and there may be parts you don't use. I scratched my head for a while trying to figure out where everything went. I installed on an alpha 1 gen 1 and it pressure tested perfectly.

Needed new Impeller. This one replaced all necessary parts with perfect fit. Functions as it should.

Alpha one Generation??
This product is fine and has all the necessary gaskets, but it is listed as an Alpha One kit. Unfortunately my mechanic told me it would not fit because my outdrive is an alpha one Gen II. Nowhere in the description that i saw, did it define a difference of Gen I or Gen II. That would have saved me time. Ultimately, this looks to be a good product.

It works with my 1990 Alpha one Gen one. Lots of extra parts you dont need in the kit. It does come with the gasket for under the actual pump and the three gaskets above it

Info on website correct & the right parts arrived.
The info about the water pump kit for a Mercury motor from this supplier was correct. The previous site on another Amazon supplier was just a bunch of hogwash, just some left over jobber parts thrown in a box. I ordered it since it list the parts as Quicksilver which is a Mercury part, it arrived 2 days earlier than expected. I changed it out in about an hour - CUZ EVERYTHING FIT!
