Terrible service
I bought this drain for a customers claw foot tub. The package arrived quickly and appeared to be of decent quality. I drove it out to my clients and installed it relatively easily. These things always come really large so pieces have to be cut down to fit the tub you're installing it on. Once I got it all installed, I ran the tube and discovered a small leak at the drain/tub connection. Strange since it's siliconed and I used thread compound but I'll give it another half turn and see if that does the trick. Upon turning, it starting making popping sounds which I hoped was the silicon squeezing out as it tightened. Nope, it was the drain breaking. The top ring of the drain broke free from the threaded portion. This is hand tightening with a drain wrench. Very minimal torque. I come home and contact customer service. This was Thursday evening and the message said they usually respond in 24 hours. I got a response on Monday evening, close enough. They want me to "repackage" the whole drain assembly and ship it back to Amazon for a refund. Are you kidding me?! It's installed and one of the 10 or so pieces broke. Send me the piece! Probably my last dance with Kingston Brass. I'd recommend moving past this drain assembly. There are far more reputable manufacturers out there vying for your money.

Still leaks!
Not sure about this. It was not easy to install as the space I have is small in the bathroom. If I take a shower, everything is fine, but if I take a bath, it leaks like crazy - while I am in the bath!! Not sure what's going on, we keep trying to fix it, but so far, no luck. We may need to remove the tub and start again from scratch - which also means removing the sink in order to get the tub out! Home improvements are no fun!

Very nice, easy to use
This drain assembly is a perfect match with our Kingston faucet set. It's heavy, well-made, and very nice-looking. The drain stopper assembly operates by simply twisting the stopper itself to open or close; none of those typical head-scratching maneuvers (guaranteed to thoroughly puzzle one's guests!) required! Be aware that antique bathtubs may not match the usual dimensions of current models; one issue we've run into before (and now know to expect) is a height mismatch between the tub and the drain assembly. When this happens, you can't always fit the included flange in place to cover the opening where the drainpipe enters the floor. As you can see from the photo, we haven't yet bought a substitute to cover the hole around the pipe. You can avoid this by raising the tub slightly (by placing a tile or block under the claw feet). Otherwise, you'll have to get creative in finding or fashioning something to cover the opening. It's not a fault in the drain assembly design, just a fact of life in old house renovation and restoration! Very nice product-I recommend!

Easy to fit and install
Fit a 1920’s clawfoot tub perfectly, with enough adjustability to ensure a tight seal. Only been installed for a month, but so far, so good.

Cheap Paint *Beware*
We bought this at the end of April 2021, finally installed in July. It looked great once everything was put together, but within the first 4 months, this random chip happened out of no where. We had maybe used the tub 3-4 times, how does this happen. We're worried how it's going to look in another 6 months. . . . . . Reaching out to the manufacturer to see what can be done. . . . .

Installed so easy on my old tub!
I was worried about using a new drain because my tub had a slightly weird angle and drain size - but after literally months of trying to fix the old drain and looking for parts that seemed unfindable, I broke down, bought this, and this worked great. Like, I went from months of hunting for 1 3/8" parts to having it installed in like an hour. It was crazy easy to install with no leaks at all - I did use the blue monster branded tape and pipe dope to make extra sure (and will have to make it less visible one day). It is a drain and it works

Excellent product.
This is a pretty good setup for a claw foot tub, the lengths of pipe were plenty long enough to fit a variety of tubs and easily cut down to length. Nice chrome finish and nothing leaked.

Looks great - fittings require care in tightening
The compression couplings and waste tube are hard metal (as opposed to copper or plastic). These require close attention to alignment and tightening to avoid leakage or separation

Does not fit my bath
Despite having two rubber collars provided, the overflow part will not come vertical; and since the bath must still drain, we can’t adjust the feet height to compensate. And that, despite buying a Kingston Brass bath. One would think a company would make its parts compatible; not Kinston Brass, apparently. I am still waiting for the plumber to come up with a solution; until then, my bath and this drain are useless. I am very disappointed in Kingston Brass so far. (It does look good, mind you, and hopefully there won’t be anymore problem once the installation will be complete.) (Edited cause I mixed up two company names; I have no problem with Sinkology products, only with their distributor(s).)
