Great cup. One star off for one of the accessories
I bought this in hopes to replace a more tradition style cup I bought a couple years back. I have never been a fan of metal, glass or anything that was not the tradition style mate cup I grew up with but cleaning those at times can be a pain, risk of mold, or that material splitting or cracking due to wear and tear over years. I bought the pink one for me and the yellow one for my boyfriend. He isnt acquired to the taste of tea yet but here is hoping later on down the line he might but he at least has his own cup in his favorite color. Pros of this cup: Easy cleaning, very large cup, and I feel the metal helps keep water warmer longer. What I was use to using was smaller in size. With this cup I can put more yerba in it. Not that you have to but I like my tea strong. So I dont have to worry about putting so little in then having to change it out so much for a fresh batch of tea. Cleaning is quick and easy. I just tap it against the inside of my organics bin or scoop it out with the bombilla. Then once i get most of it out I just turn on my hot water in my kitchen sink and rinse it out and set it aside to wash with soap. Its very quick and easy and no need to do anything special other than that. I love the size of it as well. Its pleasing to hold in my hands and when I set it down the base is nice and flat so I know there isnt much risk of it tipping over. With smaller cups in the past I have accidentally moved my hand over thinking I cleared it but slightly bumped the bombilla and the small cup tips over and makes a mess. With this I dont see that really happening. The cup is solid and decent in size which really makes me happy. One star off is due to one of the accessories. One of the bombillas that I got, a small piece of metal came loose from it. This issue was with the extremely straight one that has like the gills on the side of it. I like to call it the flute looking straw. I noticed it after I had used it and was rinsing it along with the cup. At first I thought it was maybe a piece of yerba still stuck sticking out. But when I touched it I could feel it was solid, sharp and hard. I turned it a bit since it was already loose and it came out like nothing. I included photos. Really wish I had filmed it instead from when i first saw it but I honestly thought it was loose yerba so I didnt think to. But took pictures of the piece next to the straw. I used the other more traditional style straw the next time and had no issues other wise with that one. Just be careful to keep an eye out. Not sure if that is suppose to come loose from the metal straw but it did for me. All I did was wash everything appropriately prior to use. I rested straw in cup and filled it with yerba, then added in my sugar and hot water. I was super excited to try that straw out since ive never used that style, and I liked it. Just want to let others to know just to be careful and keep an eye out.

Not as expected
It's not bad except the color is misleading in picture. It looks to be a matte green, when relieving it it's a dark gloss green.

High quality and affordable
The gourd is high quality stainless with good heat retention. After doing some research, I decided to get this one as my first gourd. It got me enjoying yerba maté the traditional way, which is what I’ve always wanted to experience. Good bombilla, not ornate or exquisite, but very functional and sturdy. I would definitely recommend.

Very nice!
First I want to say I love drinking mate from this cup! It’s my favorite one. I have put it in the dish washer maybe 3 times total, and a small spot of paint is beginning to peel off and it also has some scratches now. Simply wash this by hand only if you want it to last ????. The bombilla is not my favorite, as I can agree with someone who mentioned it doesn’t function well as my other bombillas???? I would love to see this mate cup available in other (brighter) colors . Like pink, turquoise , and lime green. Thank you!!

Just what I was looking for
Great product! Sleek looking and perfect size. Not too big or too small. The Bombillas are of high quality and will use them for back ups. The insulation is great. Tea stays hot longer than expected. Happy customer, would buy again if opportunity presented itself.
