Very thick yet easy

Great mat for Pilates - disappointed in attached straps
I love this mat for Pilates. It provides a great deal of cushion and comfort when exercising. I was not at all offended by the smell as other reviewers have referenced. The mat is designed to be one sided. This is perfectly fine for me. However, the issue I have is that it comes with attached straps. You can only use these straps when the mat is rolled in one specific way (bottom side out). When unrolled, the ends of the mat curl up. I have corrected this by removing the straps it came with and purchasing a sling strap that will allow me to roll up the mat in either direction. Harbinger should either remove the straps or make them so they are not attached so you can roll the mat up in either direction.

Excellent exercise pad
This is a very good pad for exercising on hard surfaces, thicker than most and does not slip. The built-in straps also make it easy to roll up and store.

Great workout mat
Does the intended job well. My workout routine includes several floor exercises (sit-ups, crunches, leg lifts etc) on a hard wooden floor. I bought the mat because of its thick padding. Indeed, it absolutely works as advertised. The cushioning is superb, and makes the workouts much less painful. It rolls/folds up nicely out of the way when not used. The material seems strong and durable, and wipes clean/dry easily. While I was a little leery of the mat based on others' comments about a strong smell, I have not noticed any unusual or strong smell from the mat. Yes, when I'm face down in it I can smell the foam, but it's not very strong smelling. And, more than a few inches from it, it has no discernible odor. Bottom Line: good mat, doing what I'd hoped it would.

Yoga or Pilates - Great Mat
I bought this mat for both Yoga and Pilates. I wanted the extra thickness/cushion for floor exercises. I have used the mat for 30-days, and can say I am very pleased with the quality construction and performance of the mat for both types of activities. The closed-cell anti-microbial Durafoam feature is worth the money. The removeble strap is included, making this a good value. There is a slight odor to the mat, but only noticeable when lying face down on the mat. One suggestion for the manufacturer to consider is to use a slightly higher quality fabric for the strap. The strap leaves dents in the mat and, over time, may cause the mat to "chip". Other than that, I would buy again.

Double thickness for better comfort
The 5/8" thickness was most important to me. Performing exercises on a hard floor bothers my back and hips, and this mat completely solves that problem. I used to double and triple fold my old mat, and it still didn't compare to this one. Like some have posted, it does have an odor. If you're sensitive to foam/chemical smells, then pass on this mat. I've found the smell has dissipated after a month or two, but it's not completely gone. I do not use the strap at all, as it cuts into the material if it rubs the wrong way. Leaving the mat unrolled (or loosely rolled) also helps reduce the smell.
