Nice bra but didn't work for me

I've been looking for a strapless or convertible bra to wear with a special occasion dress -- I hoped this would be it! I ordered a 36 FF after I heard several reviews saying to size up (for the cups). This thing was HUGE. I don't even think my regular size of 36 F would have fit judging by how big the cups were. I know there isn't a very firm standard size for bras between different manufacturers but I was a bit surprised. The band was also a smidgeon tight on me, but probably true to size (this, too, seems to vary from brand to brand). When I was searching for bras, I could not find a back view of this particular one. I was worried that it would be thick in front and the sides and thin out to a one or two clasp back piece, but the thing really is pretty sturdy with at least three clasps (maybe four? I can't recall exactly as I've already returned it). I can see why this is a popular bra for larger busted women who really need the extra support, especially if it's strapless! It does have thin jelly threads through the inside of the bra which is meant to cling to your skin so it doesn't move around. It seemed a little bulky to me but perhaps some of that had to do with it being way too big on me.. but it might not work on some very low cut dresses or tops (in the front or back) because of how much area it covers on your body. The bra came in a standard plastic package in the mail.. I was confused by this because the bra is somewhat firm and made to hold a specific shape, it's not as if it's flimsy, but by the time it arrived here the cups of the bra had been flattened in the mailing process. They should really ship bras with firm material and a shelf (as opposed to thin fabric and underwire) in a box so that they don't arrive wrinkled and deformed. The fabric it's made of isn't anything really special, but it's not disappointing either. If you want a bra with super soft material though, this probably isn't for you.

Big fluffy & very round boobs - will stay pushed up and in place in this AMAZING Bra. Best Strapless Ever !!!!

Ok - this is my FIRST review ever - but I am so passionate about how much support and stay-in-plac power that this bra gives - That I am willing to totally share with you all. I am 5'5" curvy med bottoms and Lg shirts, because I am a size 34 to 36 (full-round) DD and in swimsuits DDD still could be wider for very round boobs... just saying... I always have side fluff - yikes. I have been wearing this strapless for at least 8 years - it by far is the best - it stays put and gives coverage while pushing up and fluffing outward to get nice cleavages versus smooshed together. A couple pounds ago, I was wearing the 32F or 34F but it got a little tight. Right now I am puffier than I'd like to be and was gonna use a bra-strap-extension (which worked) because the F cup still worked... but instead, I chose to just buy another one to use for now - 36DD - I thought it might have to be closed on the tighter hook, but it's new (not worn in) so it actually fit fine. Now I could have done the 36DDD just for a little extra coverage for the top boob-puff & the extra that fluffs out on the top-sides... but when I put on my off the should shirt -the little over flow was fine, because it was low enough that my bra wasn't showing, it gave good support, and it still controlled keeping everything exactly in place where I had scooped & tucked. I'm sticking with this one for now - but I am losing the few extra and I will soon order the 34 DDD. This is by far the best strapless bra I have ever had !!!!! By summer I may be back in my 34F... but no matter what... I will be confident and comfortable in this bra. ENJOY. Oh - the cups are full, so the rib measurement comes into play. If you go with your regular up size, you might wasn't to go down a rib size... I fluctuate with that... but if you was a strapless that will completely covering everything and not expose extra puff up top - go reg rib size and up a cup. You really can get and control the look you are going for - especially for different types of shirts or looks. I hope my crazy-transparency helps you with choosing.

Felt different than my old one

I’ve ought this bra from a store a while ago and really liked it, but the band on this one dug into me. There was something different about the seems that made it less comfortable. It also looked bumpy and not smooth like another customer noted.

Amazing strapless for large boobs

This bra is just amazing. I originally bought it years ago and then post baby went to look for a new strapless. I got fitted and ordered bought a bra and hated it.. it looked terrible. I found this one in my bra drawer and said hey let me try and get it but now I’m my new size… I am so glad I did! It is supportive and comfortable and actually attractive even for very large boobs (36FF). I’m returning the other one from another store that was lot only not great but more expensive! Also, I’m checking out the brand for other non strapless styles.

Good support, but it has changed

Like some other reviewers I already had one of these bras and wanted another one, and like other reviewers, I was disappointed - they are different. It is still a good bra. I am plus size (I wear a 40D bra) and it is indeed hard to find a strapless bra that is (fairly) comfortable if you are plus size. I give this bra an A for support - it gives me such a good shape I would wear it under a T-shirt - and a B for comfort. It is comfortable for a while, but if I go out in it, at the end of the night the boning at the side and in the underwire will be digging into me. My previous bra (same model) was a 38D and I find the cup size roomy enough. I take a D to a DD depending on the brand, and the coverage is good. This time I ordered a 40D needing a little more room in the band, and the reason I am disappointed is the band used to have three hooks and now only has two. Now, if you are wearing a size 40 band one has to assume you might be plus size. A plus size gal needs more hooks in her bra, not less. As I said, said I am plus size, size but...this bra gives me back fat I didn't even know I had. Four hooks would be ideal; three was lacking as it was. Two is just...cheap. It might not be something I would even bother to comment on had I not known that these bras used to be made better. Just a little disappointment. For the money I would really expect a top-notch bra, and it's not quite that.

Fantasie is in UK sizes. Great strapless for bigger chests (34F)

I'm 5'6 and 137 pounds and usually wear Fantasie 34 FF (U.K.), equivalent to U.S./Can Fantasie 34 H but I often wear 36 DDD or E in other brands, so finding my size in Fantasie took a professional fitting last year. Don't give up, it's worth it! I'm already on my third Fantasie bra, loving the quality and pretty design! After reading the reviews on this strapless, I sized down from 34 FF to 34F, although one of the reviews recommended sizing up. Many more recommended sizing down, and this bra fits very well! I wouldn't want bigger as it's not as thin a fabric as the Fantasie Fusion, for example, being moulded. The shape is lovely!

Good support for busty girls at decent price

Excellent bra. Good shape and support, doesn't ride down. True to size. Rating it as a four star just because the material looks slightly shiny in a cheap way. Construction seems to be good though.

I am 32F (UK) in other Fantasie bras, but based on the reviews, I purchased this bra in a 32FF. I am glad I did. This bra fits snugly to provide support, so I'd consider going up a cup if you do not want your breast tissue flattened. The cups are lightly padded and moulded, so your breasts maintain an excellent shape. The bra comes with removable straps if you want to wear it conventionally or make a halter bra. I consider this bra to be a must-have for every bra collection.

Brilliant feel and fit.. now hopefully can get one in black. This is my fourth bra and I now have found my preferred supplier as there are some beautiful styles and very well made
