Cute & Great Quality- Just doesn't work for me

I'm 5'5" 150lbs and I love this dress but some areas don't fit like they're supposed to. The top/chest area is supposed to be a little loose like shown in the picture but on me, there's a lot of extra fabric and it looks like I have a bowl for my goldfish on my chest and there's no way to make it look good. It's also longer than I expected. I got a large based on the size chart and my measurements but I probably could've gotten away with getting a medium. Maybe it would be the length I want but I don't think it would fit my waist. The lace up back is a bit difficult to do with no help and the strings are pretty long. It has two layers which I was not expecting but it makes you feel more secure. Overall, It's a great quality dress and I may go get it tailored to my liking so I can wear it on my trip to vegas. Great purchase just be sure of your size!
