Durable, quick drying shorts

I own several pairs of these shorts. They are a summer staple. I am 49 so the 5 inch inseam is perfect for me. They do run higher waisted and shorter in the stride than most modern shorts. These are cut more like shorts from the 80’s. They don’t stain easily and dry very quickly if you get them wet. For reference I am 5’6, 140 lbs, I typically wear a size 6 and the medium fits me comfortably.

Perfect for Outdoor Activities

These are a littles scratchier than I would like on the inside, but I love the fun colors they have available and they are definitely quick drying which is perfect for what I bought them for!

Great shorts but has girl pockets

I got these because nylon shorts are fashionable this summer season but I didn’t want to pay streetwear prices. I remembered that I liked Columbia stuff and it’s cheaper on Amazon than from actual Columbia. The nylon is really good. I dumped a bottle of water on them and most of it beaded off. The color is really great and goes well with a lot of my tops. They are great for easy casual beach wear but you still look put together. The stitching is well done and the zipper is smooth. I went with the 5 inch inseam for the traditional baggie streetwear look. There is only one downside, they have girl pockets. I have an old iPhone 6 which is pretty small and it doesn’t fit in the back pocket at all and I can squish it in the front pocket but it falls out easily. None of the pockets can comfortably fit a standard mans wallet. I can’t even fit my hands fully in the pockets. The back pocket has a tiny zipper with a tiny pull so I will probably add a toggle just so I can get it open easier. The back pocket also has the smallest drain hole I’ve ever seen so I wouldn’t swim in them. You can fit a few bank cards in there and maybe a key if it’s not on a ring. The girl pockets are the only reason for the 4 stars. There’s enough room for them to be bigger so hopefully Columbia does a re-design.

Love these shorts

I had eyeballed these online, but wasn't sure about fit so I tried another pattern on at my local Dick's Sporting Goods. I'm a solid 2/4 in pants and 4/6 in shorts because I typically like them a little looser. I have started buying most athletic shorts in M for the extra room. All that background to say that the Small size in these fits PERFECTLY. I tried the medium on first and they were HUGE around the waist and not flattering at all. Because the material doesn't have stretch I was concerned about the smalls, but they were a perfect fit. Good room in the legs, comfortable fit around the waist. I'm only 5'4" and was concerned about the 5" inseam, but it is all so flattering. I ordered from Amazon to get the print I wanted. Very happy with my purchase!

Hides dirt, repels water, comfortable!

I bought 3 pairs of these shorts in different colors for my 7 day rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. The water was brown from Monsoons and these shorts did the trick! They dry easily and hide all sorts of nasty. They were comfortable and I received compliments on the camo ones. I hiked, swam, rafted, and chilled at camp in these. 5 stars all the way!

Not patagonia baggies

I was looking for a cheaper alternative to patagonia baggies (which I absolutely love). I was hoping these would be it but they are not. Pockets are decent size but they are sewn in so they aren’t quite as functional bc things still fall out. Additionally, my butt is just a little too big for these to be super comfortable. They are cute. But for comfort and functionality they only get 3 stars.

Nice but....

I bought these shorts and the matching top. The top is a nice light soft material. But these shorts are a stiff cotton like material. Didn’t like it, so I returned it. Kept the top. If these had been the same material, I would have kept them.

Plastic vinyl shorts no give

There is absolutely no give in this crepy like recycled plastic shorts ... they might be cute if they had a little give or stretch and there is no lining of any kind I expected more from Columbia I won’t be buying again from Amazon ... seems name brand quality goes out the window when comes through Amazon ... they fit small and no room for error cuz they’re plastic
