Ghone valve - Only use the Grohe Hex tool to get it out when changing

Came in a Grohe box so presume its an OEM part. Note. You need the correct Grohe "Hex Box Tool" , double ended to install this. They are mega expensive (about 70 quid) for what they are but if you don't use it you will damage the "Hex" on the valve. You need to scan the internet for find one at the right price, somewhere around 35-40 quid is about right, but that is still far too expensive for what it is. The Hex Box ( a kind of double hex in one socket) is specially made by a Grohe supplier to fit the valve body. If you think you are clever and try to use a normal large six hex socket you will round off the edges, meaning you will never get the valve out of the body.

Check the size

Supposed to be a 3/4 inch fitting but it was somewhat larger than the 3/4 thermostatic cartridge I was trying to replace. I had to return for a refund
