Durable, Comfortable, and Affordable
These black athletic socks are advertised to fit up to size 16 which feels correct to me. The neutral heel design flows upward and accommodates my size 16 foot. Given the design, those who wear any size between 12-16 should be able to fit equally well. The proportions are correct, unlike the Dickies brand I previously wore. I have worn these six days/week for work, walking and standing for most of my 8 to10 hour work days. They are thick for some cushion but maintain their shape and allow me to feel as I step rather than being mushy and ponderous. After their first wash and wear, I did have a little bit of lint between my toes at the end of the day. This stopped after the second wash. There has been zero color bleed onto the lighter colored insoles in my work shoes. After three months of wearing and washing the first four pair from the package, I see zero difference in size or quality among all of the socks. Also, I see no appreciable wear when compared to the two unworn pair still in the package. This package of six pair was around $1.50 more than an unknown brand on Amazon. I would not hesitate to order another of the Gold Toe. Gold Toe makes great socks for my dress shoes: over the decades, those have been the best socks I have purchased. These athletic styled socks seem to be of the same great quality.

Best sock ever
If you're looking for a sock that will keep your feet warm and cozy all day long, look no further than this amazing warm and comfy sock! From the moment I slipped these socks on, I knew I was in for a treat. The fabric is incredibly soft and plush, and it provides just the right amount of warmth without making my feet feel too hot or sweaty. What really sets these socks apart, though, is the level of comfort they provide. The snug fit ensures that they stay in place all day long, and the cushioned sole provides just the right amount of support for my tired feet. Whether I'm lounging around the house or out and about on a chilly day, these socks are my go-to choice. Overall, I would highly recommend this warm and comfy sock to anyone who wants a high-quality, comfortable sock that will keep their feet warm and cozy all day long. With its plush fabric, snug fit, and cushioned sole, this sock is truly a must-have for anyone looking for the ultimate in comfort and warmth. Five stars all the way!

Appear to be of good quality and comfortable to wear
I decided to spend a little extra to see if these sock might last longer than the ones i usually buy. I cant really comment on the durability of these socks yet, but they are much more comfortable than other more well known brands that i have bought. It has become more and more difficult to find socks that dont try to squeeze the life out of my calves. I wear a size 11.5 shoe and used to buy socks in that size range. Im not doing that anymore. Manufacturers must think everyone has skinny legs. I got the size 12-16 this time. The socks still leave a ring on my calves after wearing but no where near as bad. And they have plenty of cushion left after being on my feet all day. So far i like the socks over others ive tried. But time will tell how good they hold up.

Cheap and better than Nike Dry Fit
These socks are cheap but durable. I have purchased both the Nike brand (Dryfit) and Gold Toe and there is no comparison. The Goldtoe holds their shape and stretchability much better and wear down on the heal much slower than the Nike Brand. This statement applies only to full socks, which are the only type I wear.

My go to
I've worn gold toe socks for years now. I hate soft like cotton textures on my toe nails. It's like nails on boards to my senses. After 2 - 3 washes these socks are perfect for like 10-12 months. They aren't hard and scratchy but they aren't overly soft either. Perfect for goldilocks or if you have sensory issues with textures.

Great socks, match the ones I had gotten years ago
These socks are very comfortable and hold up well. As an added bonus, they match perfectly with socks I probably got over 5 years ago which helps with the post-wash sorting :)

This isn't my first purchase of these socks. They are comfortable, long lasting quality items.

Love em
Siper comfortable and hold up after 6 months or so as one would expect from a top premium brand. I do heavy manual labor and am on feet 10to 12 hrs a day minimum. Great job Gold Toe, keep em cumming

Good but not perfect.
I’ve been buying these for years. I am a size 12 so I usually squeeze into the smaller gold socks and they wear out faster. I loved that there was an extended large size that said 12-16. However as someone else mentioned they are a little tight on the calf and there is no way this would fit a size 16. Or even 14. It fits me as a 12 pretty well but I wouldn’t want it any smaller I would say it’s good for size 13 as well. I am not sure about the lint yet as they are new. But I hope they last. My last batch of gold toes faded quite a bit and many got holes in the heel. So I will keep hoping these don’t.

The best socks?
I first bought a pair of Gold Toe socks at Macy's on a trip to New York back in 1999! At the time I remember thinking they were the most comfortable things I'd ever put on my feet. Every time I've been back to the US, I've bought some more and have generally been more than happy with them. The last time I went back in 2019 they seemed to be a little different, and I wasn't as impressed. I've tried various socks from Amazon since then but never found a good replacement, so when I saw I could get some Gold Toe ones at a reasonable price, I thought I'd try them again. These look like they are back on form, so perhaps I was just unlucky with a batch the previous time. I think Gold Toe might just be the Carlsberg of socks!

Great Quality and Fits as Expected
It's hard to find good quality socks these days. Years ago, I used to wear all-grey socks that I believe were from Fruit of the Loom. Of course, over time, the band at the top of the socks stretched out, until eventually the socks kept falling down and I had to get rid of them. After that, I purchased some navy blue cotton socks at the store that were supposed to provide extra warmth during the winter. Unfortunately, not only did they have the exact same problem with constantly falling down to my ankles, but for the first several months of using them, my feet kept getting blue pieces of cotton stuck to them whenever I took the socks off. After doing some research online checking out reviews of different brands, my decision came down to one of three choices -- going back to Fruit of the Loom, or trying out Hanes or Gold Toe. The Hanes socks were the cheapest, but I didn't like how the company imprinted the word "Hanes" on the bottoms of all their socks in big red writing. The Fruit of the Loom socks were my next choice and about $10 cheaper than Gold Toe, but after reading so many reviews about their quality having gone down so significantly over the years, I decided against purchasing them. So that left me with just Gold Toe. Now keep in mind, I'm not the type of person to spend $26 on only 6 pairs of socks, which is why I was a bit hesitant to go with the Gold Toe brand in the first place, which seems to be the most expensive of all the various brands out there. Nevertheless, I decided to give them a try anyway. So far, I've been using these Gold Toe socks for a little over a month and I'm glad I spent the extra money on them. Originally, I thought that crew-length was going to be way too short, so I was trying to find something a little bit longer, but it ended up being just the right size. It goes up about halfway to my kneecap and it's the same height as the old Fruit of the Loom socks I used to get in the past. When I first took the Gold Toe socks out of the packaging, they seemed a little bit small to get my feet into, but now after using them for a bit, they've stretched out to the perfect fit. I don't know how well these socks will last over time, especially with regards to the elastic bands at the top which prevent them from falling down, but so far, I'm very impressed and satisfied. If the socks are still holding up this well a year or two down the road, then I think Gold Toe will be my new go-to brand. It's a shame though that they don't have a greater presence in retail stores. I couldn't find them in any of the stores around here, which is why I had to get them from Amazon.
