Heads-Up - Does Not Adjust Down To 36" - But Fixable

I hung these curtain rods easily in a child's bedroom (once I made some adjustments myself); they are great for keeping light from leaking out of the sides of the curtains and I am happy with them! However!!! Heads-Up!!! These curtain rods do not adjust down to 36" as stated in the description. They only adjust down to 46", (and up to 72" as stated). If you look through the pictures on Amazon, they show a standard curtain rod, not this particular style. In the package, there is a right side piece with two rods attached to the wall anchor, and a left side piece with two rods attached to the other wall anchor. The two ends slide towards each other into outer rod 'coverings', which is what allows you to slide them apart from each other to go up to 72" in length. But the right and left sides 'meet in the middle' at the shortest length of 46". You cannot push them any closer together. 46" ended up being quite a bit wider than my windows. If you don't mind a bit of work, you can fix this problem by cutting off the extra length from the rods on both sides, so they meet in the middle at a length less wide than 46". Make sense? It was not very difficult to remedy the issue, and much easier than shipping them back and continuing my search for this color and style of curtain rod!

Like the distressed look.

So, full disclosure, I haven't actually put it up yet, as I'm old and need some help, but I like the vintage look of the white. It feels strong, so not anticipating any problems. Just wanted to write this before the time was up for reviewing it.
