Great retainer system for small frames only
I like this eyewear retainer system. I have been using them for a few months now and like it a lot. It's very minimalistic, flexible, has a good grip on the sunglasses and look sturdy. However, my complaint seems to stem from the fact that these are advertised for medium to large frames. This system comes in two grip sizes. The rubber grip that comes on the system has a small opening that you slide around the far end of the sunglasses. Hence, that's the size you need to be considering when buying these retainer system. Based merely on the far end of the sunglasses, I would rate the ends on the Ray Ban Aviator's, a small. Most Oakleys would fit under the medium to large frame sizes in my opinion. Hence, I was hoping to use this system both on my Aviators and my Oakleys. However, even in the larger size, I could barely get them on my Aviators. Another complaint I have is that the retainer wire is a little too short. I would consider myself a medium head size and it's a little difficult getting the sunglasses out of around my head without potentially widening the sunglasses. So, every time I want to remove them, I have to remove the hinge that connects the rubber grip to the wire to remove the glasses (this hinge removal is used to switch between the grip sizes). Other than the two negative items I mentioned above, I absolutely love this system. Pros: - Excellent grip: Considering that the system is holding your expensive sunglasses on the basis of a rubber grip, which usually degrades over time - this grip looks amazing. - Low profile wire system: Easy to hide the minimalistic wire design when wearing sunglasses with formals and you don't have that ugly tail hanging behind you. - Great strength wire - Waterproof: I wore it through the rain and the materials seems to hold up fine and there aren't any materials that I feel will be affected by water. (Will comment on the endurance of the rubber grip after a few months.) Cons: - Grip size too small even in the largest setting - Wire length too small: It would be great if there were multiple wire sizes just like the grip instead of having to choose between a 14 or 16 or 18 at the time of buying. I bought the 16.

Ever suffer the heartache of scratched lenses?
I hate to sound so serious but I am tired of spending hundreds of dollars for glasses and then suffering the heartache of those first few scratches. It's amazing but no matter how careful I am, I eventually drop them and they magically always fall on the lens. They always seem to scratch dead center. Some people can deal with scratches, I can't. So what is the solution? I found these wire Croakies in a sporting good store. They are so thin, no one notices them. Instead of taking off my glasses and putting them in my pocket, I just let them hang down a few inches. Croakies are not new but usually they are thick and long and unsightly. I work in a professional environment and need to keep them low key. These are strong and perfect. I have had this recent pair of Ray Ban reading glasses for almost 9 months. Not a scratch. I bought 4 more pairs of Croakies on-line for all my other glasses.

I Love The Croakies Arc System Retainers But
I love the Croakies Arc System Eyeglass Retainers and wear them with my glasses all the time. I only need eye glasses for distance sight so with this system I can just let my glasses fall when I want to read something. The only problem I've had is that after about two months the rubber tips that attach onto the eye glass stems seem to stretch out and tend to start falling off once in a while. Croakies have been very cooperative about this and have replaced the ends a couple of times. I have been using this system for about 6 months now and if this can been resolved this will definitely be a 5 Star Item.

They look clean and do a good job keeping glasses on. Not a replacement for floating strap
I really like how these look, although I thought that they were adjustable, but they aren't. I bought these for swimming at the beach, because the floating ones I had looked awful. However, when my son jumped off my shoulders he snagged my glasses and these came off. I wouldn't expect them to stay on with that much force, but then I realized the advantage of floating straps. I did find my glasses and I'll still where these next time. Would like the ability to adjust them so they are a little closer to my head. Otherwise, look great and easy to put on and off.

Watch out for loose ends
Nice design but poor quality.. I say this because the rubber ends that attach to the glasses stretch out over time (around two months or so) and the glasses can slip out and fall if any stress is placed on the cord..One time when my glasses slipped out, the resulting fall scratched one of my lenses. This is a known issue by Croakies and they are working to find a better material to make these ends out of. I have been successful and getting free replacement ends from them.

Meets my needs but could be a longer cord
I needed this to stop damaging my relatively nice sunglasses. The attachment to the earpieces is nice and feels secure without causing any irritation over my ears. The strap/cord itself could be about 3" longer. The current length means I have to carefully slide it over my slightly over-sized head. Can't get a smaller head on Amazon, so need a longer cord on this. Still is very nice and light and works as needed.

keeps sunglasses on... if you can get the sunglasses connected
this product works but only after a long struggle of getting the croakies attached to the actual sunglasses. it comes with multiple attachments but none seem to be big enough for a pair of wayfarers with larger temples. these are only good for really sleek sunglasses that don't require a thick attachment

but are really nice otherwise, and durable
I thought these were the adjustable ones when I ordered them, but they are a one size. Without being able to adjust they flop around a bit in the back, but are really nice otherwise, and durable.

Solid, reliable, transforms the way I use my glasses
I bought the Croakies ARC retainer because I have a pair of Oakley Metal Plate spectacles that I take on and off regularly, and need to carry with me everywhere (for reading). I was in the habit of hooking them into my collar, but they would often fall out when I bent down, to the detriment of the lenses. The Croakies' rubber retainers latch on well to the straight ends of the Oakleys, and the steel-core band pops on and off with pretty much the right torque required. After a bit of practice it's easy to drop the glasses onto my chest and leave them dangling there, ready to be put back on. All the parts of the retainer feel solid and long-lasting. Downsides? The steel core of the band causes it to stick out the back, so when you're sitting in a high-backed chair (or car), it can interfere a little with the position of the glasses. It can also interfere a bit with a broad-brimmed hat. Finally, the Croakies label on the band, which is on a piece of rubber threaded onto the band, is occasionally annoying. I will buy more of these.

Super Band
