It's a Lot of Silly Putty

It is Silly Putty, and it is a lot of it. Doesn't exactly smell the way I seem to remember it from childhood, but maybe that's good. Got it as a gift for a niece and nephew and told them it was human flesh. I'm the favorite uncle!!

Just Like We Remembered!

When I saw this item I knew I had to order it. It is so Awesome literally & figuratively. It is such an huge amount of Silly Putty that the mind sings with possibilties over the prospect of all the things one can create. at the same time. There's enough to make an entire little scene. It came packed in an appropriate size box with packaging around it so that it didn't move a centimeter in transit. (I'm guessing because the large red egg didn't even have the tiniest of scratches on it's surface.) It was super moist and really fresh. It wasn't quite the same smell I remember. I remembered it being strong and it no longer is. It is great to keep your fingers mobile so they don't get stiff too. So, aside from still being fun I have an excuse to own a large egg in my old age, arthritis. Plus, it makes me giggle just a bit everytime I catch a glimpse of it on my shelf.

A lot of Silly putty

If you have played with silly putty you know what this is. It's actual original silly putty, but a whole lot of it. I use silly putty to mask small airbrush projects. I bought this size for the quantity:cost ratio. That being said, it will last me the rest of my life.... and my kids.

Yes, I am a grown adult who actually paid money for a huge blob of goo, and I'm happy with it.

I regretted this at first, because it arrived with no packaging whatsoever, just an unsealed giant egg, and it seemed like too much. There's no way these pics can show what a massive blob 1 lb actually is. It's like a monster from a bad '50's movie. And it comes pretty hard, you have to work it little bit by little bit, because human hands aren't strong enough to be pulling on and fighting with the entire blob at once. But now that parts of it are softer & more pliable, I'm happy with it. You can pick the amount you want to work with, roll it into a tennis ball-sized ball, then make it flat as a pancake, or whatever people do with Silly Putty in their most creatively squishy moments. Crayola really needed to include a separate, empty egg though. When you put what you've worked with back into the egg, it oozes back into the Mother Blob almost inseparably. Then you really have to put some Herculean strength into pulling out that piece later. It'd be so much easier with a separate egg to put what you've already worked with into, thereby keeping the rest of it pure & untouched until you're ready to tackle that. As it stands, I just deal with it, since, after all, there are more important things in life to worry about than a blob of goo. It's a fun purchase.

silly putty

no i don't play with silly putty.. i use then when i airbrush somethng and don;t want to spend hours putting tiny masking tape bits on models or rc vechicle i paint.. all you do is put the silly putty when you don't want the paint to go . when you done pull it off. its that simple .. works perfect for plastic or resign. the putty comes right off.. this is much cheaper then expensive masking putty, and you get alot of it .

Good for anyone

This product is great and comes with a nice amount inside the big egg. This is great for fidgeting or messing around with or even the kids. I would recommend this to anyone. O knocked off one star due to the putty being so tough until it is worked a bit. This nitpick is because an elderly individual can not get some out of the egg without assistance because it is too tough before being worked a bit.

Good value for your money yes tough at first but put it under warm water and work it a bit and it becomes very maluable my son loves it great for fine motar skills and playing

Very pliable & squishy

The media could not be loaded. When the putty arrived the tin and putty were both cold and the putty very hard - could not make a dent in it. I left it a couple days on my desk and the putty was still hard. So I Google the solution: Knead the putty in hot/warm water for a few minutes. That's it. Can see in my videos how well that worked. So for all of those negative reviews crying about how it's hard, yeah that's natural for that to happen but easy and quick to resolve.

Not much to say, except, it's silly putty and it's great to play with - especially if you want to strengthen up old fingers.

Rock hard.

Surprisingly very hard. Doesn’t stretch that far brace off very easily. A very large quantity is given I was expecting something softer and more mailable.
