Heavy Cord

The Conntek cord is very sturdy, which I bought because I have a 240V outlet in my garage. The NEMA configuration is just what I needed. I coupled the cord to a NEMA 6-15P adaptor that is compatible with a ~240V UK type plug to power a vacuum cleaner I bought abroad. The combination solved a connection problem without having to rewire the vacuum cleaner or buy a transformer, and it works very well. The sight difference in AC frequency between UK and US electric power is of no consequence for a home appliance. The cord is a bit pricey and I wish it had a light indicator to show when power is on, but I am happy overall with my purchase.
